The shape is not a chariot. Why is that? The answer is: Because it is said, "Your collection is nothing." Because your view holds that the collection, that is, the general individual, does not exist. Because the collection does not arise from anything other than the possessor of the collection. Therefore, in order to show that because there is no collection, there is no nature of shape that depends on the collection, it is said, "Because of what," and so on. Because that collection is nothing, it is without substance, and how can a chariot exist depending on it? Because a collection without substance should not be considered the proximate cause of shape. In order to explain this through commentary, it is said, "If," and so on. "Its support" refers to the support of the collection as a substance. "The support of this" refers to the support of nothing. "Establishment" is because it is only acknowledged as the support of substance. It means that because the learned one wishes to establish shape by relying on the proximate cause that exists as a substance. If the learned one wishes to establish the nature of the shape of a collection that has no substance and no essence as a chariot, then at that time our view will also be established. In order to explain this, it is said, "If," and so on. "How do you establish this?" It means, how does your sect establish a false shape by relying on a false collection? "Thus" means "like that." "Relying on an unreal cause" means relying on a false cause. "Of the fruit," and so on, is to say that you should know that all fruits of false nature will arise. Therefore, even the identity of the chariot, down to the finest particles, should not be acknowledged as true. In order to explain this through commentary, it is said, "Ignorance," and so on. "Action" refers to virtuous and non-virtuous actions. "For everything" also refers to all external and internal things. "Manifest like a deer in the shadow of things" means that the thing itself is the deer in the shadow.

And similarly, just as a deer's shadow has no inherent nature, so too are things. "Whose" refers to the shadow deer. In order to show that vases and so on are also like this, it is said "By this" etc. "By this" refers to the example of the chariot. "Abiding in places" refers to those abiding in special shapes. Just as analysis is done on a chariot, so too should it be done on form and so on. For example, if one merely considers the shape to be a vase, then does that shape belong to a limb or to an aggregate? This kind of analysis should also be applied here. Furthermore, if it exists in form, then would the shape of those become a vase? However, since form and so on themselves do not exist, how would the shape of those become a vase? In order to demonstrate this, it is said "Furthermore" etc. "Unborn" refers to the negation of birth, such as "Not from self, not from other" etc. Therefore, "also" is because of being unborn. "Unreasonable" refers to the shape of form and so on being unreasonably a vase. In order to explain it through commentary, it is said "How" etc. "Thus it has already been said" refers to having said "Not from self" etc. "Having the near-taking of substance" refers to the near-taking of form and so on that exists as substance. In order to demonstrate the previous view of others, it is said "Here it is said" etc. "Analyzing in seven ways" refers to analyzing when it is itself, not itself, the relationship of support and supported, the relationship of having, merely an aggregate, and the shape. The meaning here is that if a chariot did not exist, then through the way of the chariot, worldly names such as "The chariot is broken" etc. would disappear, and because names are seen, the chariot exists. If one says this, in order to answer this question, it is said "Should be said" etc. "This fault" refers to the characteristic of not having the name of a chariot. This is explained in detail

The Ra ston pa is: 'It is like this' and so on. The previously explained method refers to 'Is the chariot itself other than its limbs or not?' and so on. If one thinks that even though the chariot has no arising, one can still use the term 'chariot' without analysis, then the answer to that is 'You also' and so on. The 'other' as stated by the proponents of established tenets is characterized by positing things as existent merely through worldly terms. The meaning of this is that if you analyze, you believe that things are established, but if you analyze through the sevenfold analysis, the chariot is not established, so how can you use the term 'chariot'? Having thus criticized the position of others, in order to show that one's own position is without fault, it is stated, 'For us' and so on. Because even in itself and in the world, the chariot will not be established if analyzed by the sevenfold analysis. Even so, without analysis, relying on its own limbs such as the wheel, one assumes the term 'chariot,' so the chariot is established. The meaning of this is that although I do not accept conventional truth through the means of analysis, conventional truth is accepted through the worldly perspective as the meaning of worldly terms, so for our side, the fault of not having the characteristic of the term 'chariot' does not follow. In order to explain this through commentary, it is stated, 'Chariot' and so on. The word 'etc.' should include 'Neither other nor not other, nor is it like that' and so on. This 'is' refers to the chariot. Like blue etc. and feeling etc., two examples are shown with respect to outer and inner, just as blue etc. and feeling etc., even if they do not exist, are existent through worldly terms. Therefore, the word 'etc.' is a conclusion. This side refers to the conventional truth that exists merely as pleasing, following the worldly terms without investigation. In order to show that all worldly terms are reasonable on this side, it is stated, 'Worldly renowned' and so on. The meanin
