"Knowing it is that nature" means that the "mine" of what is mine depends on the self. "All conditioned things" means having the characteristic of the five aggregates. "Surely will pass into nirvana without remainder" means that the aggregates of clinging that have no remainder will surely pass into nirvana. "This is the most beautiful analysis" means that the purpose of analyzing the self is to pass into nirvana. In order to show the fault of those who assert that "the object of the view of the collection of destructible things is the aggregates or the mind," it is said, "The object of self-grasping," meaning that the basis of grasping at a self exists as a real thing, meaning that the real thing having the characteristic of the aggregates and the mind, which has become the basis of self-grasping, exists. In order to explain that very thing extensively, it is said, "When one realizes selflessness," etc., meaning that if, at the time of realizing selflessness, one completely abandons it with the aspect of thinking of selflessness. "This self is also not desired as a basis for self-grasping" means that this self is not desired as a basis for self-grasping, because the aggregates and the mind, etc., are desired as the object of self-grasping. Therefore, etc., means that by knowing that there is no real thing of a self that is different from the aggregates, to say that one's own view also uproots the view of the collection of destructible things is very rare, meaning that since the view of self is not the object of what is mine, what is the purpose of uprooting what is not the object? In order to show that meaning with a commentary, it is said, "If," etc. "That is without" means that the self is not permanent. "The object of self-grasping is other" means the aggregates and the mind, etc. "From seeing other and without a real thing" means from seeing that there is no real thing of a self that is different from the aggregates. "Alas! Your beauty!" is a word of questioning. "There is no connection between them" means that by seeing that there is no self that is different from the aggregates, to say that the self-grasping that has as its object the aggregates and the mind, etc., will be reversed is not possible. In order to show an example, it is said, "One's own house," etc. This is an elephant.

Now, dispelling doubts, it means that thinking there is no elephant in this house, one completely abandons the fear of illusion, which is truly laughable and will become a laughingstock. Similarly, the five aggregates and the mind are like illusions, and the elephant is like the self. For example, even if one fully knows that there is no elephant, that person is still deluded by the illusion. Similarly, here, even if one fully knows that there is no self, but because the five aggregates and the mind exist, attachment to them arises, and therefore one will experience the suffering of samsara, not liberation. To explain this through commentary, it is said, "Anyone," etc. "Even approaching the source of fear" refers to approaching the illusion. "Not correcting" means not relying on antidotes to eliminate the fear of illusion. "Not seeing the fear in it" means not seeing the fear in the illusion. It means that such a person clearly shows how ignorant they are. To show this ignorance, it is said, "That is," etc. To clarify the view of the five aggregates and the self as the support and the supported, therefore it is said, "Therefore, like that," etc. To explain why it is unreasonable, it is said, "The five aggregates are not the self," etc. "The five aggregates are not the self" means that the self that relies on the supporting five aggregates is not existent. "I also do not have those five aggregates" means that the five aggregates that become the supported are also not present in the self that becomes the support. Why? The answer to this is, it is said, "Because this," etc. Thus, the self and the five aggregates are not different. If the five aggregates and the self become different, then the distinction between the support and the supported could exist, but since the self and the five aggregates themselves are not different, the self and the five aggregates are merely distinctions as the support and the supported, and in reality, there is no meaning whatsoever. To explain this through commentary, it is said, "If there is other," etc. Thus,
