It should be understood here, and thus one should know the near-obtaining. What is meant by this is the explanation of this very meaning, where it is stated "in relation to objects" and so on. If the suffix "bhuta" is added to the root of the word called "Upadha (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)", it becomes "near-obtaining." Therefore, the meaning of the word "near-obtaining" is the action that has the nature of merely near-obtaining. The statement "objects also do not arise without a producer" means that the action of near-obtaining depends on both the action and the agent. For example, the one who obtains what is to be obtained is called the agent, and what is to be obtained is called the action. Therefore, the action of near-obtaining draws in the agent and the action, and thus it is considered to be the action and the agent. Therefore, the meaning of "thus one should know the near-obtaining" is this: just as with the action and the agent, one should also know the near-obtainer and the near-obtaining. "Near-obtaining" means the action. "The near-obtainer" means the agent. Thus, if the word "near-obtaining" expresses the action of near-obtaining, then that meaning has already been explained. Now, in order to show the aspect that the word "near-obtaining" expresses, it is stated "the word near-obtaining" and so on. It should be connected with "the word near-obtaining also expresses the action that is to be near-obtained." If asked, if the suffix lyu ta only expresses the action, then how does it express the action? The answer is given by stating "tri ta and lyu ta are mostly so," and the word "tri ta and lyu ta are mostly so" is an indefinite word, meaning mostly so, therefore lyu ta can also express the action, so the meaning of the word "near-obtaining" is also the action that is to be near-obtained. The action also depends on the agent, so the meaning of the word "near-obtaining" is the object to be near-obtained and the near-obtainer. Therefore, from both aspects, the meaning of the word "near-obtaining" is the object to be near-obtained and the near-obtainer. Therefore, in order to show how the meaning changes, it is stated "therefore, thus" and so on. The word "therefore" is the meaning of the word "near-obtaining" itself.

This treatise means that it is not only the appropriation (Tibetan: nye bar len pa) that exists. Furthermore, "Thus" and other words are from the "Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way." Thus, the so-called "not different from appropriation" means that I and appropriation are not different entities. If one grasps them as different entities without relying on appropriation, there will be faults. The so-called "that is also not appropriation" means that I am not appropriation itself, otherwise the appropriation and the appropriator will become one, and there will be the fault of arising and ceasing. If asked: Is it separate from appropriation? The answer is: The sutra says "not without appropriation," if one grasps them as different entities without relying on appropriation, there will be faults. If one thinks that I do not exist, the answer is: The sutra says "that is also not definitely non-existent," how can that which is nominally established based on the aggregates be completely non-existent? Like the child of a barren woman, who is completely non-existent, therefore it is not established based on the aggregates. The so-called "there is appropriation but no appropriator," where is this reason? Therefore, this "non-existence" is also not reasonable. Therefore, it is unreasonable to conclude "no self." What should be focused on here is "that is also not definitely non-existent," if there is appropriation, then it is impossible not to have an appropriator. In order to show the conclusion, it is said "therefore thus" and other words. Suppose the sutra says that the agent is not found, but the action and its maturation exist, why is that? Since there is no appropriator there, how can it be said that there is an appropriator? Thus, in order to eliminate the doubt of contradicting the sutra, the answer is given: "Also from what" and other words. The so-called "from what" means from the sutra. The so-called "one should know the rejection of the agent and self-nature" means to reject the agent who is non-fabricated and does not rely on others. The so-called "to be nominally established based on that" is explained as becoming a branch of conventional terms. In order to show that what is rejected is the ultimate agent, not the conventional agent, the quotation is cited
