Possessing a subdued mind and endowed with collections of virtuous deeds such as generosity, having perfected the accumulation of merit, for the purpose of accumulating the accumulation of wisdom, having passed through countless eons, having obtained the samadhi of the stream of Dharma, having received instructions from the Buddha, making the teachings manifest through the instructions, entering the ground of practice, thus it is said, therefore entering the ground of practice with great devotion. Then, the fourth generation of mind is the ground of superior intention and the path of joining, as well as the path of cultivation with outflows, the root of virtue in accordance with the part of discernment, as well as the nature of the practice of roots, powers, and entrances, established like fire. Among them, the fourth generation of mind has four distinctions: small, medium, large, and great among the great. Among them, the first is the establishment of the heat position. The second is the establishment at the peak position. The third is the position of patience. The fourth is the supreme position of worldly dharma. Just as in drilling wood to make fire, warmth arises from the friction between the drilling wood and the drilling post as a precursor to fire, similarly, the path that transcends the world is fire, and this arises as its precursor, therefore it is the heat position. The root of virtue is the peak of movement, therefore it is the peak position, because one will fall or transcend from this position. Because one can endure thorns in the four truths, it is the position of patience. Because it has outflows, it is worldly, and immediately after that, the path of seeing arises, therefore it is the supreme position of Dharma. Among them, the heat position is the one who possesses the samadhi and wisdom that are in accordance with the manifestation of the nature of each truth. Among them, the truths are the truth of suffering, the truth of origin, the truth of cessation, and the truth of the path. Among them, where one is born is the sentient world, and where one is born is the container world, which is called the truth of suffering, born from karma and afflictions, and made under the control of karma and afflictions. Where is the sentient world and the container world that are completely pure in the world realm, not born from karma and afflictions, nor controlled by karma and afflictions, but rather determined to arise from inconceivable aspirations, therefore it is the truth of suffering.
