Just as it is said that abandoning attachment can abandon those consciousnesses, here too, if the view of the perishable collection is focused on a substantially existing self, then just like the consciousness of its blue and yellow, etc., since that is not inverted, only the attachment of desire focused on it will be abandoned, but it is not like that either, because it is desired to be abandoned from the essence. Therefore, it is said that the self does not exist substantially. Furthermore, in order to show the faults of the side that speaks of the aggregates and consciousness as the self, it is said, "Furthermore," etc. "At the time of Nirvana, the self will definitely be cut off," which means that at the time of Nirvana without remainder of the aggregates, the five aggregates are cut off, and the self will also be cut off. Therefore, it will become an extreme view. "In the moments before Nirvana, there is arising and ceasing," which means that before Nirvana without remainder of the aggregates, the aggregates have arising and ceasing in each moment, so the self will also have arising and ceasing. Therefore, it is unreasonable to say that I will arise at that time, because I am destroyed, in order to show other faults. "Because there is no agent, there is no result," it is said, if the self is not different from the aggregates, therefore it is not momentary, then at that time the agent of karma is destroyed, and also because there is no basis, it is destroyed, therefore there will be no result. If it is said that my first moment creates, and then the later moment enjoys the result, this is also unreasonable, in order to show this, it is said, "Others accumulate karma, others eat," if the result of the karma created by other moments is enjoyed by other moments, then it will become Devadatta creating karma, and Yajnadatta enjoying the result. In order to show this by the commentary, it is said, "If," etc. "At the time of Nirvana" refers to the time when Nirvana is without remainder of the aggregates. "Becoming an extreme view with the view of permanence," in order to explain this in detail, it is said, "Because," etc. "I am also at the time of Nirvana," refers to

The self, which is different from the aggregates, is also the same at the time of nirvana. If one thinks, 'What fault is there if I assert that the self is continuous?' It is not so, because the aggregates would also become continuous. In order to show the conclusion, it is said, 'Therefore, the self is not the nature of the aggregates.' In order to show the fault of the self, which is of the nature of the aggregates, in the state before entering nirvana, 'Nirvana' is said. In order to show the fault of arising and ceasing in each moment, therefore, 'How' and so on are said. 'My body will arise,' this is because the body is destroyed by fire and so on. This also should not be said, because the Bhagavan's self and the self of 'I' have admitted the impermanence of arising and ceasing in each moment. In order to show this, therefore, 'At that time, I also' and so on are said. It is also said in the scriptures, this is from the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way. Regarding 'grasping,' etc., the grasping of the five aggregates is arising and ceasing in each moment, and the self is neither the same nor different from the aggregates, neither permanent nor impermanent, it cannot be said, because many faults will arise. If I am permanent, I will become speaking of permanence; if I am impermanent, I will fall into nihilistic views. These two, permanence and impermanence, accomplish great non-meaning, therefore they should not be admitted. Therefore, the grasping of the five aggregates of the grasper, that grasping itself should not be considered 'I.' Furthermore, for the grasper, 'How will it change?' This is because it is to be grasped, so it is the grasper, that is, karma. For this, a grasper, that is, a maker, is definitely needed. If one thinks that grasping is the self, then at that time grasping itself will become the self, therefore the agent and the action will become one, so the cutter and the cut, the pot and the potter, the fire and the smoke, etc., will also become one, therefore
