For example, the blue that appears, and so on. The term "nature is not," means that there is no unconditioned nature, and so on. The term "by means of reversal," means that blue has no nature, but appears to have nature. In order to explain the reason for this, it is said, "together with ignorance," and so on. The term "self in that," means having self-nature. The term "those who are without ignorance," refers to the noble ones. In "by what," and so on, "like a dense cloud, thick ignorance" means that, for example, if there is a very dense cloud, nothing can be seen. Similarly, if there is a mass of darkness of ignorance, then children cannot see the nature of things. The term "appear as reversed," means appearing as having self-nature. In order to explain it through commentary, it is said, "cloud mass," and so on. The term "becoming a place of manifest clinging," means becoming a place of attachment. Why is that? The answer to this is, "for those who manifestly cling to this as true," because they manifestly cling to the blue that appears before them, and so on, thinking it is true. To this, others say, "what is said here," and so on. The meaning here is that if there is darkness, things cannot be seen, but it is not seeing the nature in a reversed way. Similarly, here too, if the nature of blue and so on cannot be seen, it is because it depends on change, but it is not seeing the nature in a reversed way. In order to explain the reason for this, it is said, "becoming like that," and so on. The term "by means of the example of another," refers to having the characteristics of hair, and so on. In order to explain this, it is said, "how," and so on. The term "someone," refers to someone with cataracts. The term "grasping as reversed," refers to relative to the later wisdom. The term "etc." should include gadflies, and so on. In order to explain it through commentary, it is said, "like someone with cataracts," and so on. Starting from the example, apply it to the meaning.

Therefore, it is said "Thus, etc." "Thus" means like someone with blurred vision. The meaning of this is that just as someone with blurred vision sees unarisen hairs, etc., due to the power of the blurred vision, similarly, beings also see conditioned phenomena that are distinct due to the distinctions of realms, destinies, birthplaces, etc., due to the power of ignorance. In order to indicate the source of the sutra for the inverted appearance due to the power of ignorance, it is said "This is, etc." "Actions conditioned by ignorance" means actions that are the cause of ignorance, such as virtuous and non-virtuous actions. In order to clarify this, another sutra source is also shown: "Thus, ignorance and, etc." "Related to ignorance" means having ignorance. "Manifestly performing" means that because of manifestly performing, it is performing, which is the meaning of karma. "Immovable" means karma that is determined to be in the form and formless realms. Thus, after showing the order of entering, in order to show the order of reversing, it is said "Thus, when ignorance ceases, etc." Therefore, due to the power of ignorance, karma and consciousness, etc., arise, so when it ceases, karma and consciousness, etc., also cease. Thus, it is said that ignorance is the very cause of the appearance of karma and consciousness, etc., as it is said in the sutra. This is the concluding statement. This inverted knowledge only occurs to the unwise, but not to the wise. In order to show this, it is said "Therefore, in this way, etc." "In this way" means that actions are conditioned by ignorance, and when ignorance ceases, actions cease. In "If, etc.," "Without delusion, it does not arise" means that without ignorance, karma does not arise. "Only the unwise certainly realize" means that they do not realize that both are unborn from the beginning, but that karma arises due to the power of ignorance, and that without it, it does not exist.

"Dispelling the Dense Darkness with Rays" refers to the supreme wisdom that is free from conceptualizations such as things and non-things, which is the sun, because it dispels the darkness of ignorance. It is called "Dispelling the Dense Darkness with Rays" because it completely illuminates the dense darkness; this is a term for calling it "noble." "The wise ones" refers to those who possess excellent wisdom. "Understanding emptiness" means that whatever arises dependently is unborn, therefore understanding it as emptiness, not as arising and ceasing. "Will be liberated" means that having understood the nature of emptiness and having ceased afflictions such as ignorance, one will be liberated from samsara. In order to explain it through commentary, "The wise" and so on are spoken. "Actions are without self-nature" means to fully realize that they have not arisen from the beginning. In order to explain the reason for not clinging to actions, it is said, "Because the cause of clinging to them has been abandoned." This means that the cause of clinging to actions, namely ignorance, has been abandoned. Thus, it has been established that things like blue, even though they are without self-nature, are still apparent. Now, others say that because things like blue are apparent, they exist in ultimate truth. To establish this previous view, "Here it is said" and so on are spoken. "Their" refers to things like form. In order to explain this, "If things" and so on are spoken. If things do not exist in ultimate truth, then those things will not exist in conventional truth either, because they will not appear in conventional truth either. In order to illustrate this with an example, "Like the son of a barren woman" is spoken. Just as the son of a barren woman does not exist in ultimate truth, and therefore does not appear in conventional truth either. "They are inherently existent" means that because things appear in conventional truth, they exist in ultimate truth. In order to answer this question,
