Because the nature of things that arise, such as these, is not established, they appear to have self-nature, so inverted consciousness also exists. Similarly, in the stage of realizing the negation of the afterlife, inverted consciousness will also exist because it has the same body as the basis of that view's aspect. In order to explain this through commentary, it is said, "Sameness is," and so on. Sameness is equality, meaning similarity, which is to show synonyms of names. It is not the basis of correct view and doubt, but possesses wrong views. This is to explain the meaning of the word 'basis.' "Basis is the cause of existence" means existence, because it exists by its power. To explain the meaning of the word 'body,' it is said, "Body is the abdomen." To show the collection of words of that view's aspect, it is said, "That," and so on. To show the collection of words "basis, sameness, body, and," it is said, "Explanation also," and so on. The so-called "collection of special words" means that the words 'basis' and 'sameness' are the special features of the word 'body.' To show the collection of words of that view's aspect and "basis, sameness, body," it is said, "Sameness in the basis," and so on. To explain the meaning of the word 'having,' it is said, "Because it exists in this, it is the cause of being unbearable." The so-called "unbearable" means having. The so-called "that thing" refers to that meaning, which is the meaning of what is collected itself. Having previously shown the synonyms of the word 'sameness,' now, in order to explain the meaning, it is said, "The basis is that," and so on. "The basis is that" refers to the body. "Of doubt" refers to the thought of "whether there is an afterlife or not." "Becoming the basis itself" means "becoming the cause itself." "Because it becomes sameness in the basis itself" means "because the body becomes sameness itself." To show that the stages of example and meaning are different, it is said, "Thus," and so on. "That" refers to what is transformed from the arising of mind. Showing the two stages, it is said, "One is," and so on. To that

Among them, what is said by "because" is that the situation of slandering the afterlife is precisely because of (this slander). At that time, in order to show the meaning of the word "as it is," it is said "there also," and there also refers to the time when one acknowledges the existence of self-nature. To this, the other's previous view is put forward by saying "if" etc. What is called self-nature refers to the self-nature that arises from the transformation of consciousness. The example is that what is to be established (view) is emptiness. Saying "because" means that when seeing the existence of self-nature, one does not see it upside down. In order to answer this, it is said "that also" etc. What is called "that is also not existent" means that seeing without being upside down is non-existent. Also, those who arise from consciousness and transform say "birth lord" etc. To answer this, it is said "not" etc. In order to show what has already been established, it is said "those births" etc. In order to show what has already been said, it is said "because of what" etc. In order to show it through commentary, it is said "things" etc. In order to apply this fault to everything, it is said "similarly" etc. What is called "slandering the omniscient" refers to slandering that the omniscient is non-existent. What is called "saying that things are existent" refers to saying that things themselves are existent. What is called "saying that things are non-existent" refers to saying that external objects are non-existent, i.e., the Mind-Only school. What is called "Isvara" refers to those who say that Isvara is the creator. What is called "time" refers to the fact that things arise due to the difference of time, i.e., the time theorists. What is called "atoms" refers to the fact that fruits such as vases arise in the order of two atoms etc. What is called "nature" refers to the fact that fruits arise from the nature of courage, atoms, and darkness.

To say "it is nature" is to speak of nature. To say "essence" is to say that all beings are born from essence, and this is to speak of essence. Those who are different from them are those who speak of "I" and so on. When speaking of "one's own true nature," it is through acknowledging that the nature of earth, water, fire, and wind is truly existent, that one slanders the all-knowing one, and also applies a reversed understanding to the knowledge of things that exist. In order to show how to apply a reversed understanding, it is said, "For example," and so on. It should be understood that viewing the nature of knowable things in a reversed way is to slander the Buddha Bhagavan, and know that that is the nature of knowable things, and know that it is the nature of having reversed knowledge. The reason for saying "because he possesses a body similar to the basis of his form of view" is because he possesses a body similar to the basis of the form of view that slanders the Bhagavan. In order to show such an example, it is said, "When there is," and so on. The so-called "at that time the same" means that when acknowledging that the nature of earth, water, fire, and wind is truly existent, at that time there is a body similar to the basis of his form of view,
