That's enough. In order to briefly show the meaning, it is said "In short," and so on. In short, just as there is no object of knowledge, the mind that focuses on it does not exist either. You should know this principle. In order to explain it with commentary, it is said "object of knowledge," and so on. The so-called "mind with the aspect of the object of knowledge" refers to contemplating that objects of knowledge are like this, so it is called the mind with the aspect of the object of knowledge. The so-called "not born from its own nature" is because the object of knowledge itself has no nature, so the object of knowledge is also not produced. As it is said, etc., it comes from the praise composed by the teacher Nagarjuna: "What is not known is not the object of knowledge." That is to say, what is not made an object by knowledge is not an object of knowledge. Therefore, it depends on knowledge to become an object of knowledge. "If that is not, then consciousness is also not," that is to say, if there is no object of knowledge, consciousness will not exist. Therefore, it depends on the object of knowledge for consciousness to exist. Therefore, because they are mutually dependent, just like long and short, knowledge and the object of knowledge are also not self-existent, World Honored One, you said so. Likewise, etc., "friend of the sun" means that because he was born from the lineage of the sun, the Buddha World Honored One is a friend of the sun. You also explained with "not born from me" etc. that consciousness is not established in the ultimate sense, so it is said that consciousness is like an illusion. The object of that consciousness is also definitely like an illusion, just like consciousness, because the object is what consciousness has to grasp. Therefore, the object depends on consciousness, because it is not established by its own nature, so it is like an illusion. Now, showing the conclusion by criticizing the Mind-Only school, it is said "Therefore," and so on. The so-called "slandering external objects" is because they do not admit external objects, but only admit consciousness. The so-called "controlled by the forgetfulness demon who says that consciousness is real" refers to thinking that consciousness is real.

Whatever is spoken is the demon of forgetfulness, because it causes the memory of reason to decline. Being seized by it means being under its control. Those who speak only of mind, how should those who possess the noble compassion be extremely careful to avoid falling into the abyss of clinging to the nature of things? How should it be guarded? It is said that by applying the good mantra of scripture and reason. Scripture and reason themselves are the good mantra, and it is by applying them. The meaning of this is that, just as those who are seized by the demon of forgetfulness are protected from falling into the abyss by applying the mantra through the gate of pacification, so too, those who speak only of mind should be carefully guarded by applying the good mantra of scripture and reason. Now, in order to refute what has been shown to exist by others, it is said, "Therefore, thus," and so on. The saying, "Because it is empty of two," means that it is empty of the grasped and the grasper. "By whom will it be known to exist?" means, by whom will this other-existence be known to exist? If it is said that it is established even if it is not known, then the answer is, "It cannot be said to exist without being grasped." That is, how can that which is not known by anyone be established as existing? In order to explain this by commentary, "If," and so on, are said. The saying, "Because acting on one's own nature is contradictory," means that it is unreasonable for something to act on itself. In order to show an example of this, "Like this," and so on, are said. The saying, "It is not held by another consciousness," means that this other-existence should not be held by another consciousness. The explanation of "Because it contradicts one's own established tenets" is "If," and so on. If another consciousness takes another consciousness as its object, then it is only a consciousness that is empty of objects, and thus its own established tenets will be lost, because one consciousness has another consciousness as its object. Just as the object of consciousness is another consciousness, so too, the external object should be, and therefore it contradicts one's own established tenets.
