it will become a nihilistic view. If one acknowledges the inherent nature of things in the previous state, and then in the present time, because that has perished, it does not exist, if one later acknowledges that way, it will become a nihilistic view. That aspect of the inherent nature of things that is unreasonable, there will be the fault of becoming permanent and nihilistic, that is not possible, because the inherent nature of things is not observed. If someone thinks that the inherent nature of things is non-existent, because things are not observed, it will not become a permanent view, but it will definitely become a nihilistic view, if you think so, that is not right, because if you previously acknowledged the inherent nature of things, and later observed that it was destroyed, then this is a slander of the things that were previously produced, so it will become a nihilistic view. Just like the hairnet etc. seen by someone with cataracts, someone without cataracts cannot see it at all, and if you say that it does not exist, what is it that you are saying does not exist? Because there is nothing to be negated at all. Just as one says there are no cataracts in order to eliminate the wrong clinging to inverted things, we say that all things are not existent, so we say that way, it will not become a nihilistic view. Just as the sutra says: World Honored One, if someone acknowledges all things, and later says that the things produced by desire, hatred, and ignorance are non-existent, then he will become a nihilist, etc., like this is explained extensively. If one only acknowledges the mind and mental objects that are controlled by others, because the imputed objects do not exist, it is completely abandoning the view of existence, and because the dependent objects that are the reason for affliction and discrimination exist, it is completely abandoning the view of non-existence, if you say that, it is also unreasonable. Like this, because there is no imputed, and because the dependent is existent, so the two views of existence and non-existence coexist, how can one completely abandon the two extreme views? Because the inherent nature of things produced by cause and condition is unreasonable, so the meaning of what is said is unreasonable. Therefore, the view of the Madhyamaka school

Only for those who hold to existence, there is no falling into the view of non-existence, but it is not so for the views of the Mind-Only school and others, it should be understood. In order to accord with such beings to be tamed, and because it is a means of seeing the ultimate truth, the Bhagavan, by the power of great compassion, spoke of the provisional meaning of Mind-Only, just as saying that a person is respected by many, etc., is not the definitive meaning, it should be understood. As it is said in the Sutra of the Noble King of Samadhi: 'Wherever the Sugata speaks of emptiness, know that the Sutra is the distinction of definitive meaning. Wherever persons, sentient beings, and individuals are taught, know that all those teachings are of provisional meaning.' Like that. Furthermore, in order to show the source of the Madhyamaka treatises, as it is said in the treatise, etc., one must want to understand that things are unborn, otherwise, if one does not investigate, from the classification of pleasing things, if one accepts that things exist, then for him, he will necessarily fall into the views of permanence and annihilation, which are extremely contradictory to the scriptures. Why? Because the thing that needs to be fully investigated, will it become permanent? Or will it become impermanent? If it is permanent, then at that time it will become saying that it is permanent; if it is not permanent, then at that time it will definitely become saying that it is annihilation. Thus, after teaching the two truths that are free from permanence and annihilation, now, in order to reveal the source of the Madhyamaka treatises, from the arising of emptiness from empty things, how it is said, etc., through this example, it can be determined that things without inherent existence can produce results, for example, the teacher, that is, the Buddha Bhagavan, who has perfect miraculous powers, by the power of miracles, emanates an emanation, then the emanator who performs the emanation is emptiness, that is, without inherent existence. The emanator emanates other emanations, among them the emanator who emanates other emanations is emptiness, that is, without inherent existence. The other emanation emanated by the emanator is also emptiness, that is, devoid of the nature of the Tathagatagarbha.
