That which, if the seed exists, the sprout arises, that is the subject. Whatever the seed is, the sprout is not that itself. This indicates that it is to be argued that the seed and the sprout are not other, nor are they that itself. Because it is not other, it is also not that itself. This indicates that because self-nature is not established, it cannot be said that it is that itself or other itself, this is explaining the reason. Like this, both aspects are, refers to the aspects of other and non-other itself. Then, this itself refers to the meaning itself because other and non-other are not reasonable. The aggregates, etc., regarding whether those aggregates themselves exist or not, it is because they are not born from self and other. Not moving means not having function, that is, ignorance will not think "I will produce aggregates," and aggregates will not think "It is produced by ignorance." Saying refers to what is said in the sutras. It is also said in the treatises, refers to the occasion in the Root Wisdom Treatise where the nature of conventional truth is shown. What arises depending on what, refers to what fruit arises depending on what cause, for example, like a sprout arising depending on a rice seed. That itself is temporarily not that itself, refers to the seed is not the sprout, because the producer and the produced would become one, and then the father and son would also become one. Because it is not other itself, in the stage of the sprout, like the sprout, the seed would also be observed, and like the seed, the sprout would also not be observed. In that case, the seed would become permanent, because it has been promised that it will not perish. Therefore, the great fault of becoming permanent would occur, and karma and its results, etc., would also become non-existent. Therefore, it is reasonable that the seed is temporarily the sprout. Not other than it, refers to the sprout is also not other than the seed, because without the seed, the sprout would grow, and in the stage of the sprout, the seed would also exist. Therefore, it would become the fault of searching. Therefore

Therefore, it is said, "Neither permanent nor discontinuous." Because, whatever result arises depending on whatever cause, that cause is not the result itself, and that result is not different from that cause. Therefore, that cause cannot be established as either annihilation or permanence. Now, in order to show that one must undoubtedly acknowledge the unborn, it is said, "How," and so on. "If it is not so," means that in the ultimate truth, one acknowledges the nature of things to arise. "If one relies on one's own nature," means relying on causes and conditions. "Then it is slander," means slandering the nature of things. Because things will be destroyed. "If emptiness becomes the cause of destroying things," means that in the ultimate truth, for things that arise by their own nature, the nature of emptiness is blocked. "Then it is unreasonable," means that if the nature of things exists, then the nature of emptiness should not become emptiness, just as when fire exists, its nature of heat cannot be changed. In order to show this with commentary, it is said, "If it is said," and so on. "Form and feeling, etc.," the word "etc." should include perception, etc. "Self-nature is self-nature," that is, one's own essence and self-nature, should be explained by the former and the latter. "How can one realize emptiness by slandering the nature of birth?" means that things arise from their own causes, but are seen as emptiness, and this is realizing emptiness through slandering emptiness. "This is also not reasonable," means that one should not regard self-nature as emptiness, and regarding emptiness as a wrong view. "One should not admit birth at all times," means that one must admit from the beginning that there is no birth, because non-artificial things themselves have no birth. The Middle Way is the path that is free from discriminations such as existence and non-existence. Its explanation is "Those who truly discriminate," and so on.

etc., is that which truly and completely knows the suchness of things as they are. In order to explain "truly distinguishing" in detail, "by emptiness" and so on were spoken. Here, the Mind-Only school considers the completely imputed, the dependent, and the thoroughly established to be the three natures. Among them, the consciousness that arises from the alaya-consciousness and appears as blue and so on is the nature of the dependent, because it arises in accordance with conditions. This consciousness, which is non-dual in ultimate truth, but is grasped as a duality of objects, is the nature of the completely imputed, because it exists only as imputation. The consciousness that appears as blue and so on, which is empty of grasper and grasped at all times, is the nature of the thoroughly established, because it abides in that way at all times. Therefore, it is said: "This appearance is dependent, How it appears is completely imputed. Because it arises in dependence on conditions, Because it exists only as imputation. How in this appearance, As it appears, is always absent, That is the thoroughly established nature, Because the knowable does not change." Therefore, the Mind-Only school believes that the dependent of the appearance of blue and so on is made empty by the emptiness that is free from the grasper and grasped of the completely imputed. Based on this, "by emptiness" and so on were spoken, that is, by emptiness, that is, by emptiness as the emptiness of all phenomena, from the one-pointed samadhi of emptiness that arises from meditating on the aspect of emptiness. The phenomena, that is, the nature of the dependent is the dharma-nature. It does not make it empty, that is, it does not make it possess the dharma of emptiness, but the dharma of the nature of the dependent is originally unborn, therefore it is emptiness, that is its definition. What is called signlessness is the emptiness that is free from all signs, like the sky, that emptiness is free from all elaborations, from the one-pointed mind of the aspect of signlessness that arises from meditating on the aspect of peace.
