It is named by surrendering to a place or surrendering to another existence, meaning "manifestly directed." The form that arises from the elements is completely transformed by the power of touch, such as cold, heat, roughness, and smoothness, and is therefore called form. Name and form, in the order of their growth, become the cause of the arising of the eye and so forth, and at that time the six sense bases are completely perfected. Because it is the gate of birth of mind and mental factors, it is called the six sense bases. When these six sense bases are fully matured and the object is manifest, the cause of the arising of the three feelings through the gathering of the three—the faculty, the consciousness, and the object—is called contact. Furthermore, rebirth is birth. Name, form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, and old age and death. These seven things are the all-afflicting factors of birth, because these seven things only afflict birth. Among them, the five, beginning with consciousness, are the result of past ignorance and action. Future birth and old age and death are the result of present action and affliction. Thus, not knowing and so forth are the three all-afflicting factors of affliction, action, and birth. The so-called inability to determine the order of what is earlier, later, and in between means that the three afflictions—affliction, action, and birth—revolve again and again, and it is not known which is the earlier, which is the later, and which is the intermediate of the all-afflicting factors, just as one does not know the front, back, and middle of a water bucket. The so-called day by day and so forth, in that, feeling pain is painful by the very nature of the pain of pain, because the nature of feeling pain is pain itself. Feeling pleasure is the pain of change, because whatever feeling of pleasure completely changes is the very nature of pain. The formations that are the cause of feeling pleasure and pain are also painful by the very nature of the pain of pain and the pain of change, because the cause of those

Therefore. This should also represent the suffering of formation, that is, in that, equanimity is suffering from the suffering of formation itself, becoming dependent on causes and conditions, that is suffering. The formations that become its cause, etc., are also suffering from the suffering of formation. The reason for cutting off is that, like the wheel of a water bucket, each and every day the bucket breaks, in the same way, beings also change each and every day due to impermanence. The so-called continuous water bucket, etc., shows that beings are in accordance with the state of the wheel of the water bucket. The suffering of suffering is the suffering of beings who are suffering. To focus on that with great compassion means that compassion focuses on those suffering sentient beings. The so-called delight in saving, etc., is easy to understand. In that, in order to show the ending, it is said that this is, etc., easy to understand. Having thus prostrated to the compassion that focuses on sentient beings, in order to prostrate to the compassion that focuses on the Dharma and the compassion that is without focus, the connection is shown, saying that it is called focusing on the Dharma, etc., easy to understand. The so-called moving beings, etc., is like seeing the image of the moon in water that is moved by the wind as the nature of moving, and not being able to accomplish the meaning of removing suffering, etc., seeing it as without nature, in the same way, the Bodhisattva also has different abilities in each and every moment with other conditions such as wind and sun, seeing beings as momentary, and with not self-born, not other-born, etc., because there is no birth in the ultimate sense, seeing beings as empty in nature, wanting to save from suffering, I prostrate to that nature. The so-called becoming compassionate, etc., to beings becoming compassionate, I prostrate to that. It is to connect the previously shown words to this place. In order to explain it, it is said that it is like this, etc., in turbid water, the image is not seen, in order to prevent that.

English

Ra. It is said to be very clear. The wind, that is, not a strong wind, etc., refers to the movement of the water's collection by the gentle wind blowing on the part of the water. Although the water is very clear, if it is moved by a strong wind, the image cannot be seen in the water, so it is said, "not a strong wind." The previously focused support, etc., refers to the support object to be focused on before seeing the moon's image. The water, which has the nature of water, encounters the wind, and together with it, the moon's image disappears in each moment, that is, both the water and the moon are seen to be shaking. Like seeing my object directly, etc., refers to the appearance of the object of the moon's nature as if it were directly appearing. The image appears like the real moon, that is the meaning. These two noble selves refer to impermanence and emptiness of inherent existence. One's own self-nature refers to impermanence and emptiness of inherent existence, so it is one's own self-nature. Seeing it abiding as it is clearly manifested, the meaning of this is that just as the image of the moon manifests its own face with impermanence and emptiness of inherent existence, so too do the noble ones see it. Thus, in order to combine the example with the meaning, "similarly" etc. is said. Just as in the image of the moon, impermanence and emptiness of inherent existence are seen in each moment. Just as in the example, there are the lake, the movement of the wind, the water, and the object of the image, so too, in order to show these four in the meaning here, "perishable aggregates" etc. are said. Because it will perish, it is perishable, that is, the meaning of impermanence. Aggregate is a collection. It is both perishable and a collection, so it is perishable aggregates, which refers to the five aggregates of perishable nature. Seeing the five aggregates of perishable nature as self and belonging to self is the view of perishable aggregates. This itself is the lake. Just as the lake is the abode of many creatures such as aquatic animals, so too, the view of perishable aggregates is the abode of all faults, so it is the lake. Likewise, in the Pramāṇavārttika it is said:
