The 'also' of the six refers to the faculties of eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. 'True from the world itself' means that it is true because worldly people cling to it as true, but ultimately it is not true, that is its synonym. 'The remainder' refers to whatever is to be grasped by the six faculties of close acquisition. In 'eating Datura etc.,' Datura is thorn apple; if one eats its fruit, everything appears to be gold. The word 'etc.' includes epidemics etc. In order to show that there are external factors that harm the faculties, 'sesame oil etc.' is mentioned. Among these, sesame oil, water, and mirrors are the causes for holding images, and the sound spoken from caves etc. is the cause for holding echoes. The word 'etc.' includes the sound spoken from temples, high places, etc. The second 'etc.' includes the sound of drumming etc. In 'approaching special places and times, sunlight etc.,' a special place refers to desolate plains etc., and a special time refers to noon etc. The word 'etc.' should be understood as the cause of mistaking something for a snake, such as darkness etc. 'Factors that harm the faculties' means that although they themselves do not actually change the faculties, due to the influence of sesame oil etc., phenomena such as mirages appear, and therefore, through the way they seem to change the faculties, they become factors that harm the faculties. Therefore, 'they are' etc. is mentioned. In 'mantras and medicines etc.,' the word 'etc.' should be understood to include jewels etc. In 'magicians etc.,' the word 'etc.' includes mantra practitioners. 'They' refers to the factors that harm the faculties mentioned earlier. 'False tenets' refers to the tenets established by non-Buddhists. The word 'etc.' includes fear etc. 'Seemingly valid inferences' refers to

The action is: This living body is a phenomenon, because it possesses life, and so on, all of which should be included. The term "dreams, etc." should include other confused consciousnesses. Differentiation means the differentiation of truth and falsehood. "Will be explained" means how it will be explained by dreams, etc. In order to follow the world and show the differentiation of truth and falsehood, "thus" etc. is said. The so-called "being reversed in relation to the world itself" is because worldly people consider it to be false. The so-called "meaning that has already been explained" refers to what has already been shown, such as images, etc., which are reversed in relation to worldly people themselves. In order to show the metaphor, "ignorance of sleep" etc. is said. Ignorance is delusion, and that itself is sleep, because the nature of things is not fully understood. The so-called "movement" refers to unreasonable shaking. The so-called "examining the self as it is" refers to the examination of the three *guṇas* (梵文,गुण,guṇa,quality) etc. by the power of delusion. The so-called "illusion, mirage, etc." refers to the appearance of elephants etc. in illusions, the appearance of water in mirages, and the term "etc." includes ropes etc., and the appearance of snakes etc. observed in ropes etc. Those are not true even from the perspective of the world, because worldly people consider them to be reversed. In short, just like the objects of the *tirthikas'* (non-Buddhists) complete imputation, such as Ishvara (自在天,Śiva,Īśvara, the Lord) etc., those are only imputations, and not external objects themselves, because external objects themselves do not appear. Therefore, those are also false from the perspective of worldly people. In order to show that point with an explanation, "*tirthika*" etc. is said. The so-called "wanting to enter Suchness" means wanting to realize Suchness. The so-called "immature person" refers to a person who is not familiar with any treatises. The so-called "shepherds and women, etc."

The sound of "gaḥ" should include children and so on. For them, the most famous things are seeds and sprouts, etc. The phrase "birth and destruction, etc." should include the essence of things. The so-called "undetermined" means, "Non-existent is not born as existent, and existent does not perish as non-existent." This means that because of the nature arising and entering from within the pocket, birth and destruction are spoken of as birth and destruction, but they are not explicitly stated as birth and destruction. Because form and so on are different from the limbs, the essence of things is not determined. The so-called "wanting to go excellently" means wanting to surpass all worldly people by realizing Suchness. The so-called "abandoning the former branch" means completely abandoning the conventional truth as it is known in the world. The so-called "like grasping the latter branch" means because the ultimate truth of the latter branch has not been grasped. The so-called "will fall into the valleys of evil views" means holding evil views, believing that there are three *guṇas* (Sanskrit, गुण, *guṇa*, quality) and so on. That mountain is difficult to destroy. A valley is one aspect of evil views. Falling means clinging to that one aspect of evil views. The so-called "will not obtain the fruit" means not obtaining the fruit of realizing Suchness. This means that just as a person seeking fruit climbs a tree trunk with fruit in order to obtain the fruit, if he abandons the former branch and does not grasp the latter branch, he will not obtain the fruit but will fall into a great abyss, so are the non-Buddhists. The so-called three *guṇas* (Sanskrit, गुण, *guṇa*, quality) and so on, the particles characterized by happiness, suffering, and equanimity, as well as darkness and courage, are the three *guṇas* (Sanskrit, गुण, *guṇa*, quality). Their equality is called nature. The word "etc." should include Īśvara and so on. The so-called "these do not even exist in the conventional truth of the world" means that just as the non-Buddhists hypothesize, because worldly people cannot see them, they only exist as hypotheses.
