When that (phenomenon) is stated, since the cause itself does not exist, what fruit will it become? Therefore, the fruit also does not exist. Even if it is both, that is also called the existence and non-existence of the fruit. Because it would become a fault that has already been stated, it means that the fault stated on the side of existence and the side of non-existence would become a fault of existence. The object of the two is merely the two, meaning merely the number. Existing in the two means existing in the object of existence and non-existence. Thus, after admitting the object of the side of existence and non-existence, the fault is stated, in order to show that it is not an object of the nature of existence and non-existence, existence and non-existence, etc., are stated. Having that nature means having the nature of existence and non-existence. In the scripture, it means in the "Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way." Nirvana, etc., means that mutually contradictory objects and non-objects cannot exist in the same Nirvana, so how can Nirvana objects and non-objects exist? It means that they will not exist. How is it? Like light and darkness. It is said, for example, that light and darkness, which are mutually contradictory, cannot exist at the same time in a room. Similarly, etc., becoming an agent or a non-agent, means that becoming an agent is having an action, and a non-agent is not having an action. For this, becoming an agent and a non-agent, that is, the action of having the nature of being produced and not having the nature of being produced is not done, because it is said from the words. Why? Because it is impossible for one object to have both the nature of being produced and the nature of not being produced at the same time. Therefore, the action of becoming an agent and a non-agent is not done, meaning because it does not exist. This explains that two mutually contradictory dharmas cannot exist on one object. In order to refute the fourth category, being separate from both.

It is easy to understand what is said, such as "that which is called." In order to show the reason for non-existence. It is said, "existence and non-existence itself," etc. "By negating them" means by negating existence and non-existence. "Not even a little difference will occur" means that by negating existence and non-existence, there is not even a little thing that is established by difference. In order to show that itself. It is said, "When," etc. "As it is said," etc., is from the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way. Not real, not unreal. It means: If something called a thing exists, then by negating it, nirvana should not be considered non-existent. If something non-existent is established, then by negating it, nirvana will become established as existent. When things and non-things are not established, then there is no negation of them, so the idea that nirvana is a thing and a non-thing is not reasonable. This shows that being separated from the two is also non-existent. "If," etc., is to prove arising from another from the worldly point of view. "What kind of reasoning is spoken of" refers to what is shown by examples such as definite vision and the balance rod. In order to thoroughly prove arising. It means, for the purpose of proving arising from another. "That and that" refers to reasoning. "You" refers to the Madhyamika. "The fire of intelligence" means that intelligence itself is fire. If you ask how it burns, it is said, "Like dry firewood soaked in butter." Just as fire burns dry firewood soaked in butter. "You diligently kindle the fire of wisdom" means to increase wisdom. Therefore, it is enough to urge the firewood of reasoning, reasoning is like firewood, because it is to be burned by the fire of Madhyamika's intelligence. The meaning here is that we do not prove arising from another by reasoning, because for what reason is it not arising from another? In order to meet the doubts of the Madhyamika, it is said, "If," etc.
