Because of the reasoning previously stated, effects do not arise from causes that are destroyed or not destroyed, therefore, it is said that all the births of the Omniscient One are like illusions. Now, in order to address the doubts of the Specific Speakers, it is said, "Here it is said," and so on. What is meant by "where there is simultaneity" refers to the eye, the consciousness of the eye, feeling, and so on. What is meant by "there is otherness there" means that otherness does not exist merely because of simultaneity. In order to demonstrate that, "for example" and so on are mentioned. In order to show the response to that, "That is not existent" and so on are mentioned, meaning that whatever is said about simultaneous existence having arising from other, that is not existent. What is meant by "in the mind of the eye" refers to the consciousness of the eye. The term "feelings, etc." should be understood to include feelings, etc. What is meant by "arising together" refers to that which arises together with consciousness. What is meant by "if otherness exists" means that if the consciousness of the eye has otherness that is different from feelings, etc., and the eye, etc. What is meant by "what need is there for existence to arise" means that if the consciousness of the eye is other than the eye, etc., then when that otherness already exists, what need is there for that which already exists to arise? What is meant by "if that does not exist" means that if one does not accept that the consciousness of the eye exists in order to avoid the fault of not arising. What is meant by "the fault has already been explained regarding this" means that if the consciousness of the eye does not exist, then the eye, etc., would not be established as other, and therefore there would be no arising from other. In order to show that through explanation, "if" and so on are mentioned, which is easy to understand. In order to show the conclusion that is drawing near, "Therefore, like that from other" and so on are said, and what is meant by "because that is impossible" is because the result is impossible. What is meant by "both are impossible" refers to the otherness that is not established without relying on the arising of the result. What is meant by "both are also impossible" means that otherness and arising from other are also impossible, like this, if the result arises.

If it becomes that way, then at that time it will become that the cause that depends on the effect is something else, because the effect does not arise, becoming that the cause is something else, so it is not existent, because that is non-existent, so it is not that there is arising for others. This is that meaning. Because the meaning of external objects is not existent, it is called the meaning of the characteristic of not arising from others. Because it is empty of the meaning of external objects, it is called the sound of saying that it arises from others, that is empty of the meaning of the characteristic of arising from others. Only the sound remains, it is called that if examined and analyzed, only the sound empty of other meanings remains. Thus, since cause and effect do not exist simultaneously, it shows that otherness is impossible, and now because there is no effect, the effect does not depend on the time of the cause, and the cause does not depend on the time of the effect. Otherness is not existent. In order to show this, now it is said cause and so on. What is to be produced by others is the effect. In order to show that it is not to produce others. It is said, is there existence, etc. Here, is an existing effect produced? Or is a non-existent effect produced? Or is it of the nature of existence and non-existence? Or is it of a nature that is neither existent nor non-existent, neither of the two? For that, existence is not produced, because for existence, arising is meaningless. Non-existence is also not produced, because it is non-existent like a rabbit's horn. The nature of both is also not produced, because for both aspects, there will be the fault of having been shown. Neither existent nor non-existent, neither of the two is produced, because that is impossible. Therefore, because there is no effect, the two are not dependent on the time of the two. In order to be shown by that commentary, it is said temporarily and so on. How and so on are verses from the Four Hundred Treatises. The meaning of this is that the Samkhyas and the Vaibhashikas say that the effect exists in the stage of the cause, and whatever exists in the Samkhyas exists at all times.
