Just as the definite understanding of 'non-existence' arises, so too is it certain that all our things will arise. However, if you do not have the definite understanding that all things do not arise, then, because you yourself do not have a definite understanding, it is impossible to generate realization in others, so writing treatises is meaningless, therefore all things exist without being prevented. If you say this, then the answer should be: If we have some kind of definite understanding, then does it come from valid cognition or from non-valid cognition? But that also does not exist. If it becomes uncertain here, then the antidote to that, certainty, will exist. When we do not have uncertainty to some extent, then the certainty that contradicts it will necessarily exist, because those who are related do not depend on others, just like the horns of a donkey being long or short, and so on. When certainty is not acknowledged, then for the sake of establishing what is valid cognition acknowledged? Number, definition, place, and self, other, both, and arising from no cause will exist, all of which I will not say. If you have no certainty, then things are not produced from self, not from other, not from both, not from no cause. Then how can you speak these words that have the nature of certainty? The answer to this is: For worldly people, these are words that are certain by reason that is established for themselves, but not for noble ones. Who would say whether noble ones have reason or not? In reality, noble ones do not say anything, so where would there be the elaboration of reason and non-reason? If noble ones do not speak of reason, then who ultimately enables worldly people to realize? Noble ones do not speak of reason that is established for themselves, however, for worldly people, in order to enable others to realize, they will acknowledge what is the reason that can be established, and it is precisely through this that they enable worldly people to realize. For example, even though impurity itself exists in the body, those who are attached and follow after perversion do not see it, and they fabricate the appearance of ugliness where it does not exist, and thus they are completely miserable.

For those who wish to be free from attachment, the Tathagatas, emanations, or noble ones speak of the faults of the body by saying that this body, previously covered by the perception of suffering, has a form, etc. That is because they wish to be free from that perception of suffering, and thus attain freedom from attachment. Similarly, here, non-noble ones, due to irrational obscurity, have their eyes of wisdom nearly destroyed with respect to all objects of invisible nature, and thus falsely cling to them as having a reversed nature, and become extremely miserable by making slight distinctions in some aspects. The noble ones understand them through established reasoning. For example, just as one acknowledges that an existing pot is not produced from clay, etc., likewise, because the pot already exists before it is produced, it has no production; please be certain of this. Just as one acknowledges that a sprout is not produced from something that has been transformed, such as burning embers and charcoal, likewise, please be certain that it is also not produced from seeds, etc., which one wishes to express. If you say that we have experience, that is not so, because the pot for which there is experience is not a true object, because experience is like someone with cataracts experiencing two moons. Therefore, the very assertion that something is true because of experience is something that needs to be proven, so it is not appropriate to answer through that. If you say that I also repeat the terms of worldly valid cognition and object of valid cognition according to the scriptures, then the result of stating the substance must be stated, because it is destroyed by stating the reversed definitions of the logicians. If you say that I correctly state its definition, that is also unreasonable, because if the reversed definition made by someone unskilled in reasoning causes the basis of the world's definition to become reversed, then at that time, effort for its meaning becomes necessary, but that is not the case, so the effort is completely meaningless. Furthermore, if the object of valid cognition is understood by means of valid cognition, then valid cognition
