It is not contradictory. Like "as before," etc., the latter half answers. As there was not before, it is also said that it is "non-cause similar," in the manner of speaking, with regard to the future result, it appears as a cause, the cause itself that one wants to establish is not established, similarly, here, what is to be shown through it, the constant itself that one wants to establish constantly, this is not established. Again, because it is similar to non-cause, something is without cause for something, thus, it is difficult to avoid the fault of constant cessation. Therefore, it is not reasonable to assert it as real in any way. If there is no birth and death in that way, then not seeing it, how can the path of Nirvana taught by the Bhagavan have fruition? In order to refute the former party, it is said "because of seeing birth and death," etc. Because, whatever is included in the truth of the path, the manifested dharma arises, and whatever is included in the truth of suffering and origin, is seen to perish because of it. Therefore, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, taught the collection of the path of Nirvana, which is the nature of Nirvana with remainder and without remainder, and the differences of application, seeing, meditation, and no more learning, which is reasonable. Moreover, whatever is not inherently defiled by nature, nor is it purified, that is not possible, because it is emptiness. What is to be shown here is "these," etc. These are birth and death. Mutually, is other than other. What is to be prevented is the perverted, which has the characteristic of being different from others, it is possible, from that, seen by it, whatever is knowledge, that is produced from the perverted, because by the power of ignorance, which is the nature of being able to make the non-manifest appear, and not from seeing as it is, this is its meaning. This is shown in this way, as the reason shown, because the nature is emptiness, therefore, from the beginning, the birth and death of all the peaceful dharmas are not confused. Whatever knows it, that is produced from the perverted, which has a different name, and not from others, therefore, how for it

Therefore, what is said is the teaching with its fruits. Here, other debaters say, 'If there is no arising and ceasing,' and so on. If one thinks, 'What does not cause arising and prevents accumulation, if one understands that by that power, the nature of future suffering not arising is nirvana,' then you who speak of emptiness, because all dharmas are empty in nature, if there is no arising and ceasing, then what ceases and what attains nirvana? There is nothing at all. Therefore, if one thinks, 'It would follow that there is no liberation,' it is not so. Why? Because 'by its own nature' is explained extensively, meaning by its own nature, and the nature without superimposition, and suchness, these meanings are the same. By that very nature, from the beginning, all dharmas are without arising, and because of that, whatever is without ceasing, is that not liberation? This you must undoubtedly accept, otherwise, if 'from cessation,' it is explained extensively, meaning 'a small part' is the remainder. If a small part of the dharma ceases, meaning from becoming non-existent, it would follow that it is nirvana. If 'not from cessation,' it is like the meaning of a different door, then permanence is the very nature of things, only firm, it would follow that it is nirvana. Such nirvana is also unreasonable, and you do not accept it either, although it can prevent afflictions, it cannot prevent their imprints, therefore it cannot be established that it cuts off rebirth, therefore the nirvana spoken of like a lamp is also intentional, and because it is accepted that all conditioned dharmas are momentary. Therefore, 'neither real nor unreal,' is related to liberation. If so, what is it? 'No birth and no death,' meaning that from the beginning, peace itself is the meaning of liberation. However, the cessation of individual examination is liberation, and because it is unconditioned, it abides in the nature of permanence. Thus it is also said: 'The unconditioned are also three: space and the two cessations.' Thus it is declared.

Therefore, if one doubts, saying, since this should not be prevented, then how can one be liberated from prevention? If one says that prevention is contradictory, and so on. The meaning is this: this cessation that is considered to exist, although for the time being it is such a nature that no one can recognize, but if some people think that it exists, then, which path exists? Or, whatever substance that possesses the nature of desire, etc., if this exists, it will arise, or it is the cause of arising, then, through the classification of proving it to be a real entity, those two different natures will also disappear there. Because, relying on others to accomplish one's own nature, this is not in accordance with the unconditioned. Nor is it admitting that it does not rely on others, because separate examination is admitting that it is its path, and admitting that desire, etc., should be removed. Just like this, it is also said: The cessation produced by separate examination is a separate separation. If someone thinks that these separate examinations are the limbs of obtaining cessation, then, obtaining is different from birth, which is also unreasonable. When analyzing non-associated formations, it has already been determined elsewhere. Therefore, there is no cessation as the nature of existence, because when admitting that it is existence, through the classification of separate establishment, the previously mentioned real entity, the path of the characteristic of separate examination, is not something that needs to be relied upon, and afflictions such as desire are not the basis of the separation to be obtained by it, even if it exists, there is no difference from non-existence, therefore it will fall into the fault of non-reality. However, if it is admitted that afflictions, which are the basis of its path and its function, are to be relied upon, then, since there is no real entity with the characteristic of separation that does not rely on them, there is also no cessation as existence. Therefore, only what was previously said is the supreme of liberation. Also, how is the non-arising of things liberation? Because having the object and characteristic itself is not established. Because, if form, etc., are unborn, then it will become form.
