It will always enter into the object of transcending evil deeds. Logically, if in the unborn nature of all phenomena, no characteristics can be found, then because of the absence of characteristics, consciousness does not arise. It is said that it speaks of emptiness here, and thus follows the accomplishment of eliminating all phenomena. The meaning is that because all phenomena have no real nature, no characteristics can be found, and consciousness ceases accordingly. It is also said: Such is the reliance of the noble ones, not realized by reality, because without cause, consciousness will never arise. Arya Deva also said: The seed of existence is consciousness, the object is its field of activity, because all seen objects are selfless, the seed of existence will cease. Therefore, the consciousness with cause is not an object of perception because it is without cause, just like the barren woman's son. If consciousness perceives what is unreal, who would say that this unreal is perceived by consciousness? It should be said that without relying on the door of reality, consciousness does not perceive only the unreal, just as the consciousness of blue does not rely on yellow, etc. How can it be a door with reality? Furthermore, the consciousness of annihilation here is like relying on the sound of the barren woman's son. Here, some sounds are meaningful, and some are meaningless. Those with meaning are the sounds of Deva, etc. Deva is regarded as the cause of complete food in the world, so if its meaning is determined, then the sound of Deva is meaningful. If the son of a barren woman is indicated, it is not available to people in the world, and what is not available does not eliminate reality. Therefore, the sound of the barren woman's son is also empty of meaning to be accomplished. Consciousness also perceives the sound empty of meaning for those who know the meaning of the sound. Through the door of the unreality of meaning, it will definitely become meaningless. For him, the meaning of this sound is not in some places, nor at any time, and it does not appear to some knowers, so it is said.

In all cases, due to focus, it is completely established in the world as "absolute non-existence." Moreover, the "absolute non-existence" here relies on the entity of sound. It is thoroughly examined through not focusing on the meaning of sound. Similarly, relying on entities, prior non-existence and mutual non-existence are examined by worldly people. Among them, relative to the present entity, the state before its arising is established as "prior non-existence." An entity that can never exist is not prior non-existence, such as the son of a barren woman. The nature of the present entity is impermanent, so any state of destruction, or impermanence itself, after being destroyed, is called "non-existence." Mutual non-existence is also clearly said to be dependent on entities. The term "entity non-existence" is solely dependent on entities, held by the discriminating consciousness, as stated in the Sutra itself. Arya Deva said, "If there is no entity, then there is no non-entity; consciousness is impossible to exist. If there is no entity, then there is no non-entity; how can it be established?" Therefore, wherever one comprehends the nature of Nirvana or a Dharma similar to Nirvana, for that, entity non-existence is also non-existent because there is no grasping. In short, because the universal clinging to entities and non-entities is exhausted, the yogis will attain the unborn consciousness and the cessation of Nirvana. Therefore, here, there is no discriminating consciousness that focuses solely on non-entities, and because the self is not established, the expression of clinging to the self is said to be a non-entity, which is established here. So, these dharmas are experienced by self-awareness, such as clinging to the self and clinging to the letter 'I'. If they are not to be taken as objects, even so, because they are the nature of experience, one cannot say that clinging to the self and clinging to the letter 'I' are non-existent. Are you facing north? Or are you facing elsewhere? Is it not experiencing "This is the east"? It is not reasonable for these directions such as north to become east, and why does someone with blurred vision not experience the meaningless things they see, such as hairs and flies?
