Nothing was seen. That's it. Therefore, this worldly principle of "this way, arising from relying on this" is unstoppable. Therefore, the worldly Dharma will not decline, but will remain. Whatever arises dependently is empty of its own nature, because there is nothing that arises without relying on existence. If anything is not inherently existent in that way, how can it exist dependently? Its own nature is inherently non-existent, that is his thought. Therefore, if one examines in this way, the yogi will definitely realize emptiness, and will fully understand the emptiness of things that are not born of their own nature. If one realizes emptiness, because the nature of all dharmas is unattainable, one will never fully elucidate the nature of all dharmas, because one has not realized it oneself, it is impossible to explain it to others. Therefore, the final conclusion is that the Dharma has never been truly taught. Thus, with two verses, the meaning of completely proving all arguments is briefly explained in a summary way. Then, in order to distinguish the nature of the dharmas that are shown to others, in order to generate correct diligence in hearing, thinking, and meditating again for those who have not yet attained the supreme fruit, and in order to make those who have not yet entered enter, and those who have already entered generate joy, two more verses are spoken: This principle is a true inference, the faithful strive to seek it. Relying on the unconditioned Dharma, abandoning existence and non-existence, one finds peace. This principle is the meaning of abiding in the principle of dependent origination as mentioned before. True inference means completely cutting off one's own nature. If one has understood, but strives to find faults, will one understand in this way? The answer is: Even if one has faith, the thought of arguing may arise. The answer is: Strive to seek it, even if one has faith, if one wants to understand the ultimate truth, one should seek this very suchness. Because self-nature is unattainable, it is not dependent. By relying on some dharmas, some dharmas will appear.

This is the meaning of "now." So, what does it do to rely on some dharma that has no basis? It is said, "Having abandoned existence and non-existence, it is peaceful." Here, existence refers to the five aggregates of close grasping. Non-existence refers to the absence of that. If these two are abandoned here, then definitely existence and non-existence will become peaceful, because the activity of existence and non-existence ceases and becomes peaceful. This is its meaning. Again, how to "constantly abandon existence and non-existence, how to say it is peaceful"? "From where that yogi, knowing from these causes, the one bound by the net of wrong views is liberated, therefore having abandoned attachment, anger, and ignorance, obtains nirvana. This is the cause of this." Because of "this cause," its object is this cause. It is spoken through this cause as it is declared. Any yogi, by understanding this cause as it is spoken, because he does not perceive any nature of dharma, therefore, he does not completely discriminate between existence and non-existence, and is liberated from the net of worldly wrong views. Having turned away from that, he also abandons the attachment to the nature of existence and non-existence, which is aroused by the view of existence and non-existence. Having abandoned that, he also turns away from the root of views, the afflictions such as desire. The object of existence and non-existence, which is aroused by non-true views, is recognized by worldly people, and if it is abandoned, because existence and non-existence do not appear on it, therefore, it does not possess desire and so on for no reason. Therefore, that yogi, because he has abandoned desire, hatred, and ignorance, is stainless, that is, without afflictions. If there are no afflictions, then, is it not certain that one will go to nirvana, because the previously abandoned existence is completely exhausted, and the throwing of the previously non-existent existence is abandoned? Therefore, in this way, in order to obtain the supreme fruit of nirvana, those who possess great compassion, possess wisdom, and possess faith, should also meditate in the same way on the characteristics of this cause as it is spoken, emptiness by nature, and listen properly.
