There is no inherent existence. If it is said that there is not even an object of illusion, then that would also harm the conventional truth, just like a rabbit's horn, it cannot be regarded as existent, nor can it produce other results. Because all of this exists, therefore it is merely conceptualization, it exists merely in the conventional, thus it is established. Moreover, seeing the absence of inherent existence is seeing the ultimate truth, because one does not cling to the essence, therefore it arises from the unreal, and liberation is attained by the exhaustion of craving. That is, seeing it as false in this way is dwelling in the state of liberation by seeing the nature of afflictions. Just as the emanation of the Tathagata (Sanskrit: Tathāgata) has no inherent existence, other non-inherent existences, the infinite emanations with the form of the Tathagata, are able to accomplish various kinds of activities, and can fully enter into them. Therefore, the agent is similar to the emanation. Action is similar to the emanation by the emanation. Whatever little exists that is empty of inherent existence, those are merely conceptualizations. Just as the Tathagata, in the manner of an emanation, is the agent of karma, the person who follows ignorance, like the emanation of the Tathagata, has no inherent existence, and this is also merely conceptualization, merely conventional, false, having the nature of deception, deceiving childish beings, merely deceiving, ignorant beings, merely clinging, that is its meaning. If karma is produced by an agent without inherent existence, and it also exists in the absence of inherent existence, then it will be able to produce various kinds of beings. Here it is said: This is unreasonable, because the example and the meaning are different. The example is that the true Tathagata exists, therefore it can be inferred that the non-true arises from the true, or the true emanation. If there is no true thing here, then who can emanate, what is the reason for the agent to enter? Therefore, it is different from the example. It is said: If someone wants to prove that there is a true Tathagata here, then one must fully understand that it is the truth as the agent or as the action. If one temporarily understands it as being the agent, then it is also the nature of the true Tathagata.

It is not so, because of the agent, like the agent of emanation is the emanation of the Tathagata. Or if one truly realizes by becoming karma. Even so, it is not reasonable to correctly say that an emanation emanates through an emanation. Does the Tathagata certainly not exist? Who would say that it exists or does not exist? If one realizes the self-nature called Tathagata, then he can fully realize whether it exists or does not exist in it. Whatever does not have self-nature, like the emanation of the Tathagata, there is no realization. Like an emanation, self-nature is peaceful, and the essence is not born, so one should not examine whether it exists or does not exist in it. Then, since the self-nature of the Tathagata is not established, how can one understand it like a metaphor? Here it is said that because the self-nature of emptiness that is spoken of does not exist. Whatever exists slightly is only a distinction. Then, why do these also acknowledge both the non-existence of self-nature and the existence of mere distinction? If again there is self-nature. If one does not acknowledge the object of mere distinction, then what fault will there be at that time? It is said, if self-nature exists, then at that time there will be no Nirvana. Because for something that already exists, the agent is meaningless. The agent also does not exist. If mere distinction also does not exist, then at that time, because there is no result of karma, it will become a wrong view. Therefore, in order to argue that one should not acknowledge self-nature, nor should one not acknowledge distinction, it is said: If the self-nature of karma exists, the agent of Nirvana also has no karma. If it does not exist, then the result of happiness and suffering produced by karma does not exist. If the self-nature of karma exists, then at that time, because it exists by its own nature, it will not change again. Like this, Nirvana is separated from the cessation of karma and afflictions. It will not arise, and karma also does not depend on the agent. In that case, because there is no cause, this will not become existence. For the time being, if karma has self-nature, there will be these faults, therefore karma has no self-nature. If anything is a distinction
