Thus it is said. Furthermore, if karma has inherent existence, then when it arises, it becomes the real self and substance. Karma also will not transform into the ripening of suffering, therefore it will become the self. The substance called "self" refers to the five aggregates such as consciousness. If karma has inherent existence, then it will not change into impermanence, because inherent existence is unchanging. The result produced by constant karma also produces results like the cause, and it will become the substance of the constant self. If it becomes constant, then the karma of those such as consciousness will not produce the ripening of suffering. Karma is impermanent, so it will produce ripening, and whatever is impermanent is suffering, so it will become the ripening of suffering. If it becomes constant, then karma will not become the ripening of suffering. Whatever is impermanent is also selfless, thus it is said. At any time, are the result of karma and karma constant? Therefore, it will become the self, and from this it cannot be shown that all phenomena are selfless. Therefore, one must recognize without doubt that karma is without inherent existence. Then, how should one recognize the reason why karma is without inherent existence? It is said: Karma is not born from conditions, nor does it exist, there is no karma born from non-conditions, all actions are like the Gandharva, city illusion and mirage. If it is said that karma exists slightly, then surely it will either be born from conditions or born from non-conditions. For the time being, if it is thought that it is born from conditions, then surely the result will exist from conditions. The unborn cannot exist in conditions, even if the result is not born, if the cause and condition of the earth, its result is born from something that does not exist in conditions, then at that time it will also be born from non-conditions, and those are also non-existent. Therefore, there is no karma born from conditions. Non-conditions are also because there is no cause, so it is impossible to have any result. Therefore, karma does not exist. When karma does not exist, then consciousness and so on will also become non-existent, because there is no grasping, so there is no grasper. That is to say, all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, and all phenomena are selfless.

It will become like this, if you do not admit self-nature, everything will be fine. If it is explained that those aspects are without self-nature. Then, if that is the case, the conclusion will be reached that all things do not exist. Someone said: The meaning of no self-nature is not the meaning of non-existence, but the meaning of delusion, the meaning of being false and deceptive in nature. It has been proven in many ways that the meaning of these interdependent originations is the meaning of no self-nature, and many people have destroyed it. It is also said that metaphors are used to fully clarify this principle. All actions are like Gandharva cities, illusions, and mirages. Just like this, due to the reasons of inverted and confused senses in time and place, houses, gardens, trees, gardens, palaces, brides, livestock pens, etc. are produced, and they are mistakenly regarded as cities with self-nature. The image of a real city, foolish people presumptuously think of it as a city, which is the reason for the nature of falsehood and deception. Just like the combination of mantras of illusionists who have the ability to show illusory images, elephants, tigers, buffaloes, men, women, and other things, although they exist in a state of separation from the self-nature of real women, etc., foolish people are deluded by the nature of falsehood and deception because they presumptuously think of women, etc. Just like in different places, times, and situations, relying on the heat of the sun to strongly shine in a certain direction, seeing water flowing down, due to inversion and confusion, it has the image of real water, but the self-nature of water is empty, and the mirage appears nearby. Similarly, things such as consciousness rely on the aggregation of their respective causes and conditions to appear, and these appearances are separated from self-nature, just like Gandharva cities, etc., because they arise dependently. Here some people argue that Gandharva cities appear as houses and gardens, etc. that depend on grass and trees, etc., then the houses
