The word "ཅད་" means exhaustive. The word "ྣ་ཚོགས་" means various, it should be known. Here it is said that the conditioned phenomena and so on mentioned before cannot be established as having no self-nature, because they contradict the scriptures. For example: In the presence of the Lord Bhagavan, the place and the nature of the fruit of karma are spoken of. The karma of sentient beings themselves, and karma is said to be indestructible. It is said in the sutra: Wealth and grains and rice, jeweled earrings, cattle and horses, servants and laborers who are ordered about, whatever wealth is placed, etc., without taking a little and leaving, all will be abandoned and gone. When the final moment manifests, one will abandon the state of being human. What does one take a little of oneself, and that will go. What does this not abandon? Like a shadow following, whatever a man does here, both sin and merit, that becomes his own. Since that is also taken away, these are not abandoned by that, like a shadow following. Just as one goes from a bad path, the traveler will suffer here. Likewise, sentient beings who have not done meritorious deeds will go to bad destinies. Just as one goes from a good path, the traveler goes happily here. Likewise, by the merit done here, sentient beings will go to happy destinies. After a man has been led for a long time, when he comes from doing good for a long time, relatives, loved ones, and friends who are happy in their hearts praise him for coming here. Likewise, those who have done meritorious deeds go from this world to the next. Only merit is praised, coming like a dear friend. Therefore, the accumulation of merit is done by those who go to the next world. Merit in the next world is praised by living beings. Merit is praised by the gods. Whatever peaceful conduct is practiced, it will not be slandered here, and one will rejoice for those who go to the heavens. In this sutra, the Lord Bhagavan said that even if wealth and grain, etc., are exhausted, karma remains. Again it is said: Merit is not burned by fire, nor is it destroyed by wind, nor is it moistened by water, nor will it sink into the earth.
