If cessation exists somewhere, it would become something different from things. Because things do not exist, it does not exist. Because things do not exist, it also does not exist. If there is cessation different from the thing of suffering, it would become something that exists permanently, and it would also be different from things. But it is not reasonable for something to exist apart from things, because it cannot be established as different from suffering. If cessation is different from suffering, then cessation would become permanent, and if that were the case, then the suffering of all worldly people would disappear. If liberation is attained by separating from suffering, then if it is attained, what causes the cessation of suffering to arise, thereby creating this difference? If it arises in the continuum of the one who attains it, then what later arises as this difference? If it arises in the continuum of the one who attains it, then it will arise in the continuum of the one who attains it at all times, or it will never arise. In this way, even if all worldly people do not seek to cultivate the path, they will be liberated from sorrow. Therefore, it must arise by its nature of depending on suffering, and for it, suffering also exists. Therefore, "things do not exist, so it does not exist; because there is no suffering, it does not exist." That is its meaning. Someone else says: If the cessation of suffering, that is, becoming the nature of no suffering, then Nirvana would become a thing, then this fault would occur. But that kind of situation does not exist. What if it is merely separation from suffering? The answer is: Even if examined in this way, Nirvana cannot be attained. If it exists in the thing of suffering, then it will be connected with suffering. If suffering does not exist, then how can it not exist? If the nature of non-thing is also Nirvana, then because there is no thing, there is no thing. Because it also does not exist because it has become non-thing, Nirvana does not exist. That is its meaning. Or, this has another meaning: If the so-called cessation becomes the nature of the thing itself, then it will also arise without depending on suffering, because it is established by its own characteristics. But it is also not arising, therefore cessation

The self-nature of cessation is not established. Or, if it is desired to be established, it must necessarily arise from the nature of substance or the nature of non-substance. If it is considered to be the nature of substance, that is because substance is negated. Since there is no substance, it also does not exist. Or if it is the nature of non-substance, in this way, even non-substance is negated, because cessation itself is non-substance. Because there is no substance, existence itself is impossible, as it is said. Because there is no substance, it also does not exist. Here it is said: Nirvana exists, because at that time there is a characteristic. A non-existent thing, such as the son of a barren woman, has no characteristic, while Nirvana has a characteristic, that is, the cessation of individual examination is what is separated from, from this statement it can be known. It is said: If the characteristic of Nirvana exists, it will become existent, in order to show that it is not existent, it is said: The characteristic other than the basis, the basis is established, then the self is not established. They are not established from each other, not established, not established, not a establisher. Here, if the nature of the characteristic is slightly established, then it will not depend on the basis, and the characteristic that does not depend on the basis will obtain no cause, and no cause is also unreasonable. Therefore, the characteristic must be established from the basis, the characteristic of the cause of the basis is not established, that is the meaning. Or think like this: The characteristic is established depending on the basis, if you think like this, it is said: If the basis exists without depending on the characteristic, the characteristic exists depending on it, an independent basis is impossible, a basis without a characteristic will become causeless, therefore the basis is also established from its characteristic, it is not established from itself, the characteristic and the basis are not established by nature, that is the meaning. Or think like this: If the basis and the characteristic are not established by themselves, even so, If you think that they exist because they are established by mutual dependence, it is said: They are not established from each other, and there is no establishment by mutual dependence, that is the meaning. Also, why is there no establishment by mutual dependence? It is said: Not established, not established, not an establisher.
