Because they are liberated without seeking me, and there is nothing like that, therefore what they experience is not valid. Just as the noble ones who have realized the Dharma through the noble path see the Dharma-nature of all phenomena, it can be considered as having self-nature. From not seeing, children are afflicted, and from seeing, the noble ones are liberated. If these are the same as Nirvana, then self-nature is empty. If that is not directly perceived by me, how can we realize it? It is said: Because one possesses disbelief, disrespect, association with evil friends, little learning, laziness, ignorance, and so on, it is contrary to realization, therefore he does not see this, and it becomes an opportunity for afflictions. Therefore, one should rely on generosity, joy, much learning, reliance on virtuous friends, faith, and respect, etc., separately. With these, the reasoning and examples taught by the noble ones should also be accepted here. Thus, if it is definitely present with means and any reason, then the self-nature of all phenomena will become directly perceived. Again, what reasoning taught by the noble ones here makes the Dharma-nature of all phenomena directly perceived as the same as Nirvana through reasoning? Because the noble ones closely indicate, it is said: Whatever is the self-nature of all things, whether the aggregation of causes and conditions or the individual things, since it is not present in all, therefore it is empty. Among them, the cause is the uncommon cause that perfects the fruit, for the similar fruit, it is the uncommon cause that perfects the fruit. For example, the rice sprout is the rice seed. The condition is common, for example, the land and so on of the rice sprout itself. Just as it becomes a component of growing the rice sprout, so too are barley sprouts and so on. The fruit born from the cause of sprouts and so on is not related to the appearance of land and so on, but is related to the appearance of the rice seed. Because only the thing that approaches the cause is established as the condition. For the time being, if something becomes the cause and condition of this, then what perfects it is

Existing in the nature of cause, where is the condition? It is not the definite cause of this, such as the objective condition of consciousness. In its own place, there are two causes and two conditions, thus. In one place, the application of the term "cause and condition" was made by the Bhagavan. Aggregation means that those things are present without any omission, and arise from that, but others do not arise from being immediately present, so here it should be understood as the aggregation of cause and condition. Individual entities are those that are distinct, not the aggregation of cause and condition, the cause and condition of individual entities are not an aggregation, therefore individual entities do not possess the nature of all the nature of the fruit. Therefore, because it is empty of that, it is called the meaning of being devoid of self-nature. If there were some self-nature of things here, it would necessarily exist in conditioned or unconditioned phenomena. Among them, for the time being, unconditioned phenomena are causeless, and it is unreasonable for self-existent things that are unborn to have the opportunity to be spoken of as self-nature. Conditioned phenomena should also not have self-nature, why? If it becomes the self-nature of conditioned phenomena, and conditioned phenomena arise from cause and condition, then arising depends on cause and condition, and arising depending on cause and condition is artificial, and should not be self-nature. Again, one might think, are only the things produced by cause and condition self-nature? It must be said that from which cause and condition does which self-nature arise, does it arise from what they possess? If something does not exist in something, it will not arise from there, such as cloth arising from clay, or a pot arising from thread. If it is thought to arise from cause and so on, then it must be admitted that cause and so on themselves have self-nature. This cannot be admitted, because if it exists, it will fall into the fault of having an object, arising becomes meaningless, and there will be the fault of infinity, and the fault of existence without cause. If cause and so on have the self-nature of the fruit, do they exist with the nature of all, or with a part? Among them, for the time being, if it is thought to be the nature of all, then the causes and conditions...
