That is to say, things that appear as objects but are in a weak state, in the realm of consciousness of children, things that exist in that way are false and deceptive, but their own nature does not exist. Therefore, whatever does not exist somewhere is called emptiness. Because false and deceptive things have no self-nature, therefore, things are empty of their own nature. And what is meant here by "remaining" refers to false and deceptive things whose own characteristics have not been established, and the realm of consciousness of children has not been liberated from inversion, which exists. As the Blessed One said, "Illusions exist, the words of children exist, foolish attachment exists, therefore, anything small exists." Therefore, through such investigation, wise people can clearly recognize false and deceptive things. The worldly results of actions, such as samsara and nirvana, do not harm the causal relationship of false things. Because there is no harm, one will not fall into nihilism or annihilationism. Because there is no fabrication of self-nature, one abides in non-inversion, and will surely abandon the samsara produced by inversion, and will not fall into eternalism. Here, it has reason from the beginning, so it will also become a great meaning. Otherwise, the existence of self-nature itself is contrary to reason. Could things that do not have self-nature arise depending on things? Entering the realm of being completely immersed in the evil inverted self-nature, just repeating the statement, just like hearing the name that clarifies the non-existence of dependent origination, presumptuously asking questions, it is really amazing! Please keep in mind the investigations mentioned above! This scripture also clearly clarifies this, please keep it in mind! As the scripture says: In caves, mountains, castles, and rivers, whatever is said is like an echo in the valley. Know that all these conditioned phenomena are like illusions, similar to mirages. Therefore, whatever does not exist somewhere, those who proclaim emptiness also distinguish the meaning in that way.

Therefore, they do not understand emptiness in a perverse way. Among them, this verse says: The nature of what is imputed does not exist, other-dependence exists, the ultimate understanding of clinging to fabrication and slander will be destroyed. As the explanation mentioned earlier, this will be well explained: Self-nature is imputed and does not exist, other-dependence is also false, a deceptive dharma, having made self-nature non-existent, there is existence. If someone says that when self-nature does not exist, he clings to non-existent things and says it is similar to illusion, then he will surely be destroyed. Because he is on the extreme of permanence and annihilation, he will surely fall into the lower realms. Therefore, those who proclaim only consciousness do not understand emptiness in a perverse way. Therefore, they should not be considered the standard of the wise. Likewise, by proving that self and what belongs to self are empty, it is proven that the eye has no self-nature. In order to prove again that the self-nature of the eye is empty, it is said: The eye is empty because it is not a permanent, stable, constant, and unchanging dharma. Similarly, there is no error in using the word "self" to denote the synonym of self-nature. Among them, not being separated from impermanence is permanence. Because of not moving, it is stable. Because it exists in all times, it is constant. Because it does not change into other things, it is not a completely changing dharma. These are the differences in the names of self-nature, not the inner agent. Because dependent arising exists only on this condition, they have already been prevented before. As it is said in the Sutra of the Meaning of Emptiness: When the eye arises, it will not appear anywhere. When it ceases, there will never be anyone going to hell. Karma exists, and the ripening of karma also exists. The agent is invisible. When this aggregate is destroyed, another aggregate will connect, this is from other terms of dharma. Among them, the term of dharma is like this: for example, with ignorance as the condition, there is action, and so on. In this sutra, the agent is first prevented, and then dependent arising.
