My clinging to the correct great elements, relying on and abiding in them, is not manifest to others like manifestation, therefore it is non-manifest, but can only be understood through oral instructions, and is the cause for establishing monks and so on. Similarly, through the cause of negation, such as non-Brahmins. The aggregate of form has already been explained. Regarding the aggregate of feeling, what is said is that which manifests the nature of the object of serenity, suffering, and liberation from both, that is, experiencing the nature of the object, which is the experience of distinguishing, is called feeling. Among these, the main mind is not a mental factor. Then, how is it known that the main mind is not a mental factor? Because the nature of the function of the mind is established independently in one's own continuum, it is considered the action of the mind, and joy, the joy of the mind, and conceptualization, that is, considering the mind to be coarse, etc., so it is not the state of mind of a mental factor. Why? Because the meanings are different. Some people think that the difference in the state of mind is a mental factor because it shows the nature of the function of the mind itself. But this is not reasonable, because the meaning of simultaneous arising will be lost. Therefore, here, the object of distinguishing should be approached, experienced through experience, which is called feeling, because awareness is called feeling. Or, because of experiencing, therefore experiencing, whatever is experiencing, is experienced through feeling. This can also be understood as mind. Feeling itself is experienced by distinguishing, and because it is experienced, it is experienced, just like food and drink, etc., it should be approached. Therefore, it is established like this: this is the food of the mind. Moreover, such feeling becomes two types, namely bodily and mental. Among these, the five sense organs with form, with the nature of the aggregation of particles, are called the stars of the body, and the feeling that arises depending on this, because it arises from the body, is called bodily. The feeling that depends on the mind organ is called mental. Moreover, feeling itself

It becomes threefold: pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain. Among these, pleasant feeling is that which, when fully grasped, causes the great elements of the senses to increase, and one does not wish to be separated from what is grasped; this is called pleasure. Pain is the opposite of this, meaning that one wishes to be separated due to approaching harm; this is called pain. That which has not become the basis of contact and separation, neither fully grasping nor subsequently abandoning, and from which delusion arises, is equanimity, which is neither pleasure nor pain; this is called feeling. Furthermore, feeling itself becomes fivefold: the sense of pleasure, the sense of pain, the sense of mental pleasure, the sense of mental pain, and the sense of equanimity. Among these, the pleasant feeling that is associated with consciousness based on the physical senses, and the pleasant feeling of the mind in the third dhyana, both of these are called the sense of pleasure. The non-pleasant feeling that is associated with consciousness based on the physical senses is the sense of pain. The pleasant feeling that is associated with mental consciousness is the sense of mental pleasure. The non-pleasant feeling of the mind itself is the sense of mental pain. That which is neither pleasure nor pain of all these is the sense of equanimity. What is the reason? Because most of the pleasure and pain of the mind arise from conceptual thought, not from the body. Bodily pleasure and pain also arise for the Arhats. Furthermore, bodily pleasure and pain, which are to be grasped and abandoned, arise unstably, while other mental pleasure and pain arise stably. There are no such classifications for equanimity; in short, the category of the six consciousnesses is called equanimity. Feeling itself also becomes sixfold due to the distinction of the six bases: feeling arising from contact through the meeting of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and feeling arising from contact through the meeting of the mind. The aggregate of feeling has been explained. Regarding the aggregate of perception,
