Lightness is the opposite of that. Cold is wanting warmth. Hunger is wanting food. Thirst is wanting drink, which is establishing the result on the cause. For example: The arising of the Buddha is happiness, the teaching of the Dharma is also happiness, the harmony of the Sangha is happiness, the asceticism of those in harmony is happiness. In any object, if the elements of fire and water are more dominant, that is softness. If the elements of earth and wind are more dominant, that is roughness. If the elements of earth and water are more dominant, that is heaviness. If the elements of fire and wind are more dominant, that is lightness. If the elements of water and wind are more dominant, that is cold. If the element of wind is more dominant, that is hunger. If the elements of fire and wind are more dominant, that is thirst. The five faculties and the five objects have been explained. Among them, the five faculties such as the eye should be inferred from their respective results, and only consciousness can know them. The five objects such as form should be known by their respective two consciousnesses, among which, the form aggregate is experienced by eye consciousness and then known by consciousness. Similarly, up to the touch aggregate, it should also be added that they are known by their respective consciousnesses and consciousness. What is non-revealing form? That is, the form that has become the dharma aggregate, which is invisible and unobstructed, and can only be known by consciousness. The nature of vows, non-vows, and the continuity of virtue and non-virtue that are not included in the two, that is non-revealing form. Among them, some follow the mind, for example, the nature of the vows of meditation and the vows of non-leakage. Some arise from proper attention, and whether the mind is distracted, not distracted, or in a state of no mind, it continues like a river, day and night following the noble ones, until the end of life, or one day and one night, for example, the nature of the Pratimoksha vows. Some follow the distracted and non-distracted states, for example, non-vows.

Its nature. The nature of neither discipline nor non-discipline is that some arise from enjoying objects given by a special field to some, such as the object of meritorious activity arising from substance. Some are offering to the Buddha and taking mandalas and so on as deities and practicing. Some are performing actions such as prostrating to stupas with respect. Non-virtue is engaging in and enjoying supports such as the goddess Durga, and initiating actions with the intense force of afflictions, and so on. Therein, from obtaining a mind of meditative concentration with outflows, one obtains the discipline of meditative concentration. From obtaining a mind of meditative concentration without outflows, one obtains the discipline without outflows. By abandoning those, one abandons those. The discipline of individual liberation is obtained from making requests to others, such as expressive forms. It is abandoned by abandoning what has been properly taken, and by death, and by the occurrence of two genders, and by the passing of a day and night. Therein, the disciplines of monks, nuns, novices, novice nuns, probationary nuns, laymen, and laywomen are abandoned by something other than the exhaustion of the day and night. The disciplines of monks and nuns are also abandoned by defeat. The discipline of close abiding is also abandoned by the exhaustion of day and night. Non-discipline is fishermen and so on. Those obtain non-discipline through the application of tools and weapons and so on, and other kinds obtain it by properly undertaking those actions. Abandoning is abandoning from death, and the occurrence of two genders, and obtaining discipline. The nature of neither discipline nor non-discipline is severed by intense afflictions, and a very joyful mind, and the cessation of what has been properly undertaken. Therein, the distinction of the shape of the body, such and such, produced by the mind of the object, is the expressive form of the body. The expressive form of speech is the word expressing what is to be said, produced by the mind focused on that. Those two are expressive forms because they make the initiating mind manifest. A dharma similar to expressive form.
