It is called conceptualization (rnam par rtog pa). Consciousness (rnam par shes pa) is not corporeal, and its nature does not transform into a coarse aspect. In the Dharma Abhidhamma, three types of conceptualization arise: conceptualization of intrinsic nature, conceptualization of comprehensive ascertainment, and conceptualization of subsequent recollection. Among these conceptualizations, the conceptualization of intrinsic nature is what has been explained earlier. The wisdom of the mind that is not in meditative equipoise is the conceptualization of comprehensive ascertainment. All mental recollections, whether in or out of meditative equipoise, are conceptualizations of subsequent recollection. As it is said, a person with eye consciousness knows blue, but does not think, "This is blue." It is said that conceptualization and investigation (rnam par dpyod pa) are similar to this, and when the distinction of dependent arising is to be completely severed, its manifestation is knowing blue. Furthermore, the mind consciousness completely severs this with clear and unclear comprehensive ascertainment, which is knowing "This is blue." Which mental factors are in accordance with consciousness meticulously investigates the object, that is the mental factor of investigation, which is the characteristic of the subtle mind. For example, a vase and plums, etc., thoroughly examine whether they are intact or not, and after thoroughly examining, know "This is broken," "This is hard," like that, focusing on such aspects and engaging in subtle examination, that is called the mental factor of investigation. Conceptualization and the previously mentioned conceptualization are both called verbal fabrication, because they cause speech to arise completely. The Bhagavan also said, "Having conceptualized and investigated, one speaks words; without conceptualizing and investigating, one does not speak." Negligence is not cultivating and not cherishing virtuous qualities, which is the opposite of mindfulness, which will be explained below. Mindfulness is cherishing the cultivation of virtuous qualities, and the continuum of mind is focused on virtuous qualities.

It means "to make calm." Among these, the meaning of virtue is the meaning of happiness. Because all harm has ceased, liberation from suffering is complete happiness, like being without illness. The truth of the path is also happiness because it is the cause of attaining it. Other than that, other contaminated virtues are because they can obtain the desired objects of the ripening objects that are in accordance with oneself and follow oneself. Among these, the three roots of virtue and shame and embarrassment are called self-natured virtue, because they do not depend on being associated with others and arising, just like beneficial medicine. The three roots of virtue and the laws of shame and embarrassment, being in accordance with these, are virtue. Like a drink mixed with medicine, those who are not in accordance with these are not virtuous. Actions of body and speech, and formations that are not associated with mind, attainment, and birth, etc., arising in accordance with the laws of the roots of virtue, etc., arising is virtue, like milk produced from water mixed with medicine. The cause of arising is arising. There are two types of arising: the arising of cause and the arising of that time. Among these, when the cessation of actions of body and speech universally arises, what arises with it is the arising of that time. The arising of cause is the time related to it. Therefore, here, due to the power of the mind's consciousness, which should be abandoned by cultivation, arising strongly, it is said to be virtuous and non-virtuous, and unspecified, not like the arising of that time. Being in accordance with the law arising from the mind, simply because of seeing the faults of samsara, the mind becomes weary of samsara, which is in accordance with abandoning afflictions, so it is called definite weariness. The joy of the mind is the satisfaction of the mind, and joy is different from mental pleasure. Pliancy is the suitability of body and mind. Non-pliancy is the heaviness of body and mind, and heaviness is unclear, so it is lethargy and
