As mentioned above. Some criminals who should be executed immediately are sent to be executed, but they only seek to drink and make merry. Similarly, for those who are connected to the crime, their desires will not cease. Furthermore, the rich abandon their homes with abundant pleasures and donate them to temples to seek Nirvana, but they fail to do so. However, those who suffer from diseases, poverty, and other causes of suffering, and cannot get rid of these roots of suffering, should completely abandon their attachment to samsara. It's like this: Some people are overwhelmed by suffering and desire death. But at that time, due to their ignorance, they cannot go to the sacred realm and die. Some are tormented by suffering such as disease, poverty, misfortune, and separation. They give up their attachment to themselves and even deny themselves by committing suicide, throwing themselves into fire or water, etc. If they could truly recognize the suffering of samsara and completely eradicate their attachment to themselves, then they could soon abide in the joy of Nirvana. However, due to their inverted views and false perceptions, and extreme ignorance, they cannot take any action that can achieve Nirvana. This is like sleeping after drinking porridge, or doubting the medicine to be taken. Some people sleep after drinking porridge, resulting in more suffering. Similarly, the more children pursue happiness, the more they suffer. There are also some people who think they are going to take medicine, so they get closer. But when they get closer, they begin to doubt whether this is the medicine to be taken, or something that should not be drunk. As a result, they cannot get rid of the disease. Similarly, all beings, even though they have been softened by the oil of suffering and torment, are obscured by ignorance and covered by thick ignorance. They doubt the medicine of detachment from desire that eliminates disease. Therefore, they do not take the medicine that can completely destroy all afflictions, and they cannot be liberated from all the great diseases of afflictions, thereby failing to obtain the sacred and flawless state of non-duality.

It is obtained. Here it is said that if all existences are completely abandoned in this way, then only the state of no old age and death, the quiescence of nirvana, should be pursued. In order to obtain it, it depends entirely on the talk of meditation. Why did the Blessed One also speak of generosity and discipline? It should be said that, due to the differences of inferior, intermediate, and superior, there are various kinds in the realm of sentient beings, and due to those differences, the Blessed One, who possesses great skillful means, has the nature of great compassion, whose fruit is naturally accomplished, and all entering practitioners know their thoughts and habits, and the teachings are diverse. In this regard, the Blessed One said: Generosity is spoken to the inferior, discipline is spoken to the intermediate, and tranquility is spoken to the superior. Therefore, one should always practice the superior. For inferior people, only generosity is spoken, but not discipline and meditation, because they are not vessels for those two. For intermediate people, only discipline is spoken, but not generosity and meditation, because they have already abided in generosity and have no ability to meditate. For superior people, only meditation is spoken, but not generosity and discipline, because they have already abided in those two. In this regard, generosity can lead to great enjoyment. Discipline can lead to birth in the realms of gods and humans. Meditation can make afflictions thin, and because of becoming thin, for the sake of nirvana, nirvana is not spoken to everyone. Therefore, one should make oneself superior and rejoice in nirvana. It is like admonishing the three princes. For example, here there are three princes, and according to their age, one prince is taught letters, the second is taught to recite scriptures, and the third is taught the methods of using weapons. Similarly, for the inferior and so on, are the givers and so on. Because one has become superior, one should not only speak of nirvana at the very beginning. One should first prevent non-merit, in the middle one should prevent self-grasping, and in the end one should prevent all views. Whoever knows this is a wise person. Teach
