Because of approaching old age, and in order to fully protect what has been obtained, only those who are capable and courageous give rise to arrogance. Due to the power of arrogance, they completely regard themselves as special, and are particularly intolerant of others, therefore wanting to destroy them, becoming without love. For those without love, where is there an opportunity to experience happiness? Where are the ultimate achievements of the lower realms? Therefore, the Blessed One said that those who go from light to light are rare, because the arrogance arising from lineage, enjoyment, and wealth will surely fall downwards. Like the son of Jamadagni. Just as the son of Jamadagni, because of his ability and arrogance, made the royal families on the earth extinct twenty-one times, because he had no compassion. Therefore, it is very difficult to find someone who is both capable and without arrogance, or who is arrogant but has compassion. If, in this way, the arrogant are condemned by the ultimate of the lower realms because they engage in sinful deeds, then conversely, the non-arrogant should be praised because they engage in practice to achieve the happiness of the heavens. Therefore, if it is said that samsara is an attachment, then it should be said that because of perversion, one should not be attached to the Dharma either. Like this: Here it becomes a foreign land, In the foreign land, it is known as the goal. The Dharma that has become perverted, By what reason is it considered true? Those who have no hope for pleasures, starting from the vow of celibacy, completely abandon those pleasures, and after dying from here, are born into a wealthy lineage or heaven, and those satisfying pleasures will appear. Because this is the nature of abandonment, just as the fruit of the essence that one has obtained manifests, therefore the Dharma is perverse. Even if it is perverse, then what is the cause of the perverse world? What is it that the noble ones do not approve of? Therefore, attachment to it will not be extremely praised. Like wanting to beat a sheep. Just as a sheep wants to be beaten.

Just as someone who has been away from home for a long time does not return, so it is with leaving home and striving for the sake of home. Therefore, for the time being, even the completely inverted Dharma should be abandoned. Whatever wealth is the fruit of that action, it should not be hoped for by the wise, because it lacks independence and is a place of various sufferings. For example: The fruit of merit is wealth, if it must be completely protected from others, whatever must always be protected from others, how can it become mine? The fruit of merit done in the past is indeed wealth. That is also something that is understood as mine, but it must always be protected from enemies. If it were mine, then it would not need to be protected from non-self, the arrogant, thieves, water, fire, wind, and other enemies. If something must always be guarded to prevent it from being taken away by others, how can it be said to be mine? Therefore, when will this be free from the uninterrupted practice of guarding, and fully enjoy the taste of the world? Therefore, this fruit cannot bring benefit either. Like a lama. Just as one must always follow and strive for the lama, so too is wealth born from the power of merit, and it must be protected from kings, thieves, water, fire, explosions, and so on. Whatever must always be protected, that is my parents. Worldly dharma is impermanent, so it is not good to hope in it. For example: Whatever the customs of the world, Dharma follows them. Therefore, even those who practice Dharma appear like the powerful in the world. Dharma is the various arrangements of the world's regions, castes, lineages, and ways of behavior, so it completely follows whatever customs there are, such as giving daughters in marriage and establishing rules, because those customs are called Dharma. Whatever differences of place and time change, this does not conform to the law of Dharma that exists by nature.
