Sa. You are most clearly afraid of it. Because disease can be treated and aging can be restored, you are not afraid of these two. But death is unavoidable, so it is very clear that you are afraid of it. The final punishment is incurable, and the lord of death who takes life is incurable, so you must fear it without hesitation, and you should not deceive yourself by hoping only for the treatment of aging and disease, like a stiff servant, a bather, and the king's clothes. For example, a servant of a certain king became stiff, and because he seized the king, he sent troops and healed him by offering them. Then others were sent, and they were also treated like him. Then the king himself passed away, and just as that became incurable, so should aging, sickness, and death be understood. Again, how a bather carefully wets the clothes of the Brahmin household servants and tries to adapt. But when the king's clothes are wetted, they cannot be adapted again. Similarly, the king lost his clothes, and some teachers made the king ride to his death. Because they wet his clothes and could not send them back. The logical pervader is pleased, the daughter of the southern ocean bathes in darkness, encircling the coast. The rival of the Ganges, the place called the Godavari River. Even though the cloud season has now passed, your drunken elephant. The dust stirred up by the ivory pestle has not completely cleared the water. It is said that he once prayed like this. The Lord of Death cannot be healed by such prayers, just like the enemy of ignorance, the powerful one of anger, one must undoubtedly be disgusted with it. If it is said that death is something that everyone must experience, and that no one can avoid by their own power, but there is no need to be afraid of it now because death has not really come, then that idea is also incorrect. Like livestock to be slaughtered. Death is common to all. Furthermore, if death appears, you will

Why are you not afraid of death? If death were not common and did not appear, then it would be reasonable to say such a thing. Because not understanding that one will die is not very common, many have already died and are dying, which is understandable. Death is also not only present in one person, because death is common to all. For example, the death of livestock to be slaughtered is common to all livestock, and one animal can also see the death of another. Similarly, it is the same for humans, so what reason do you have for not fearing death? There are two situations in which one would not fear death: one is not realizing death, and the other is transcending death. But these two situations are not possible for you, because the death lord executioner has blocked your path to survival and is right in front of you, so what is the use of being careless? Being careless is the same as being livestock, like livestock being slaughtered. Just like the livestock in the slaughterhouse, when the butcher leads one animal away to be slaughtered, the other animals are still there grazing. Similarly, like livestock being slaughtered, death is common to all, and when one person dies, the other children remain safe and sound. Some people, even if they clearly see death, are not completely afraid of it because the time of death is uncertain. Because one cannot say for sure that one will die in a hundred or a thousand years, the thought that there is no need to be very respectful is also nonexistent. Like this: Because the time is uncertain, if you think you are eternal, then when will the lord of death harm you? Here, if you think that there is no certainty that "you will die at this time," and you think you are eternal, then it is truly foolish to not be afraid for this very reason, when you should be afraid because the time of death is uncertain. Whether it is yesterday, today, or any other time, the lord of death will inevitably come upon you, who are destined to die, and cause you harm.

Then, one will understand through one's own experience. Therefore, one should abandon the hundred thousand hopes of living long, manifest the thought of death, and act cautiously, just like going to the Rakshasa Baka to be eaten in turn. Just as in someone's place, whoever's turn it is to go to be eaten by the Rakshasa Baka, just like that, all beings will die. Although death is certain here, even so, those who strive to obtain the actions of the brave, diligently pursue wealth, respect, and fame, and even when sharp weapons fall on the battlefield and they feel fear, they have no suffering, because they harm others with their own firm conviction. Therefore, the fear of death only causes displeasure to those who were previously unhappy, but not to the brave. To refute this saying, it is said: Looking to future affairs, If living is not exhausted. Selling oneself and one's own body, Who is the wise one to say so? Here, you, due to greed, single-mindedly want to obtain the future benefits of this life. For the sake of obtaining benefits, the life that you rely on, which is the basis for enjoying benefits, is not for exhausting. Therefore, if that is the case, selling one's own life to pursue future benefits, selling oneself, who would say that you possess wisdom? No one would say that, only the ignorant would say that. Therefore, one should separately examine the situation of being separated from one's own life, and not wealth and respect, etc., just like the son of a merchant and the son sold by his father. A certain merchant's son had many attachments, but he only saw the other person's attachments and did not see his own, so he followed the attachments, did ridiculous things, and eventually became impoverished. Also, a certain Brahmin had three sons, and during a famine, he said to his family that he would sell one son. This was heard by a prince, and the prince came to redeem him. Then the father grabbed the eldest son, and the mother grabbed the youngest son. Then, the middle son said to the prince: The eldest is not to be sold by the father, The youngest is not to be sold by the mother, I think I am the one to be sold, Prince, you.
