When one is unable to even lift one's own hand, others will help lift it; when one has the strength, one does not feel pain in actions such as lying down, stretching, and bending, so one perceives those as happiness. Because one gets up and gets up every day, doing various things for the sake of sustaining the body, but not for happiness, therefore doing things is not happiness, just like the king's son who is completely afflicted by five Khenpos. Just as the king's son, who is associated with five Khenpos for the purpose of learning grammar, logic, treatises on wealth, archery, and land surveying, is always in pain, if one lets go, the second one grabs, similarly, each and every childish being is always in pain because they are associated with the five aggregates, which are like thieves and executioners, and they are engaged in actions. Here it is said: For the sake of sustaining the body, one always diligently engages in activities. Where is happiness for the body, which is like a laborer? Here it is said: Because for the sake of the sensory pleasures of the lord of the world, one will experience such and such sufferings, therefore there is also happiness. It should be said: In this life and the next, one should always protect oneself from evil. If one falls into the lower realms and says it is happiness, it is not reasonable in any way. Because beings who are greedy for objects commit sinful deeds for the sake of sensory pleasures, thinking that in this life and the next they will suffer from being killed, bound, tied up, beaten, and so on because of that cause, therefore, wise people who want their own happiness must always protect themselves from the causes of suffering in this life and the next. Therefore, even if there is a possibility of falling into the lower realms, one should not say it is happiness in any way, just like an enemy who enters unnoticed. Just as fear always arises from an enemy who enters without knowing who or where they are, similarly, because one does not know where or when to go, one should always protect oneself from evil and hell, and so on. Here it is said: Which

Furthermore, this world is fearful, and likewise, the other world is also fearful. I should always protect myself from fear. Where is happiness in that? Here, those who seek happiness, seeing the suffering of walking on two feet, therefore ride horses, elephants, and chariots. If there were no happiness in that, then they should not ride them, therefore it is also said that there is happiness. It should be said that happiness for people in riding and so on is not always present. Where there is no initial effort, how can there be growth in the end? Riding and so on do not have happiness. If they had happiness, then they should not eventually become suffering. For what is ultimately seen as suffering, there must be an initial creation of suffering. If initially only suffering exists in a subtle form, then its subsequent increase should also not become suffering. Because only suffering arises in the beginning and the end, and not happiness, therefore riding and so on do not have happiness, just like a fool who is filled with half a bag of chaff. Just as a foolish person thinks that the last half bag of chaff will remove hunger, so too do unwise people think of riding and so on, riding, eating, drinking, sleeping, and other behaviors, as suffering later on. Here it is said that if there were a little happiness in the nature of riding and so on, then it should not eventually become suffering, and the nature would not change. Here it is said that there is happiness that has suffering as its cause of treatment. If there were none of that, then one should not treat suffering, but it is done, therefore there is also happiness. It should be said that when vomiting into a golden vessel, how can someone be happy? Likewise, treating suffering, one thinks of it as happiness. Just as some rich people treat their bodies by vomiting into a golden vessel, and when vomiting there, seeing a maidservant vomiting into an earthen vessel, they rejoice in their own perfect power and generate pride, thinking of themselves
