It is also unreasonable to call milk yogurt. When it is yogurt, it is not milk. When it is milk, it is not yogurt, so it cannot be said that milk turns into yogurt. From this, it can be seen that conditioned phenomena have no arising. For example: beginning, middle, and end, before arising, there is no existence. Here, beginning, middle, and end refer to the arising, abiding, and ceasing of things. In short, in the state before they arise, there is no nature of existence, so there are no conditioned phenomena before arising. If it is thought that it is arising at the time of arising, abiding at the time of abiding, and ceasing at the time of ceasing. This is also unreasonable. For example: two and two are all absent, how can one and one be formed? Here, at the time of arising, there is no abiding and impermanence, because there is no conditioned phenomenon that is separate from abiding and ceasing, so it will not arise either. Similarly, at the time of abiding and at the time of ceasing, two and two are also absent, so it is impossible for one and one to exist. Because there are none of these, it is not a conditioned phenomenon. From this, it can be seen that the arising of conditioned phenomena is unreasonable. Because: without other things, there is no self-thing arising. Therefore, neither self nor other arise. Here, the pot does not have a self-nature established from itself, because it depends on the clay. Those clays also do not have self-nature, because they depend on bricks. Therefore, if that is the case, without the other thing clay, the pot would have no self-nature. Similarly, from the clays, if there is no self-nature of the clay, then the clay will not become otherness in relation to the pot. Because in that way, without self-nature, nothing will become otherness, therefore neither can arise, because self and other are non-existent. Because there is no own essence, it is impossible to arise from oneself. Moreover, since it is not established by its own essence, it is also impossible to arise from others, therefore there is no arising. Furthermore, if one considers whether this non-arising is before, after, or simultaneous with the ariser, then, if it is before, it is unreasonable, because there is no basis. If it is after,

Furthermore, this is also unreasonable. Because there is no un-born, and birth is meaningless. If it is together, then at that time both will become independent of each other. Therefore, in that case, it is impossible to say 'before and after and together'. Therefore, birth and pot, simultaneous arising does not exist. Because it is impossible for birth to have a sequence, therefore birth and pot do not arise simultaneously. When it does not exist, it is unreasonable to say that the pot is born. Here it is said that the birth of the pot exists. If this does not become birth, then at that time if this does not become its old nature, then this old nature with the characteristic of aging is also seen to exist. Therefore, because the old nature exists, birth exists. It should be said that if something has oldness, then the existence of birth is also impossible. How is it? Here, if there is a little something called old, then is it born before or born after? Neither is born. To show this, it is said: Because of being born before, what is born before will not become old, and what is completely born from behind will not become born from behind. What is the oldness of the old, that is thinking about the things of the world that were born before. The state of the pot being born before cannot be old, because at that time it is called new. The state of being born later, even on kshetrama (field), is new because it is born later, how can it become old? If it is said that what was born before is now empty, then is it itself? Or is it other? If it is itself, then at that time, because the new state has not disappeared, it is not old. If it is other, then that too will only become new because it is born in that way, so that is not old. Therefore, in that case, because emptiness does not exist, that birth indicated by existence is impossible. Thus, the analysis is completed, and practicing meditation for a very long time will make aging and samsara old and fail.

Furthermore, Bodhisattvas, by meditating on the absence of inherent existence in all phenomena, also destroy and defeat the displeasure of death. As it is said: At that time, the great old one, there is no absence, no suffering, no death. And so on. Similarly, whoever constantly knows birth as unborn will transcend the Lord of Death. Thus it is extensively taught. From this, birth is also impossible. For it is unreasonable in all three times. To demonstrate this very point, it is explained: The object of the present, does not arise from that itself, nor does it exist from the future, nor does it exist from the past. From the very meaning of the present, it is impossible for that itself to arise, because cause and effect cannot exist simultaneously. Even if they exist simultaneously, the entity of cause and effect is unreasonable. It is impossible to arise from the future, because the future does not exist, because it possesses self-nature. It is also impossible to arise from the past, because the past also does not exist. When arising is impossible in all three times, then it abides in the statement that there is no birth by nature. Furthermore, if those objects exist by their own essence, then since there is no reversal in self-nature, it is impossible for an object to arise from the unarisen in the nature of the arisen, so from where will it come? In the nature of cessation, since what has arisen does not disappear, then where will it go?
