If it is thought to be because it has already been established. To this, in order to explain that this is also unreasonable, it is said: If wherever those things do not exist, but it is thought that one exists there, that is also not correct. Why? Because everything has three natures. Therefore, it is impossible for oneness to exist. For the opponent, there is also no such thing as "one." Because for the opponent, even the smallest particle of earth has three attributes: substance, oneness, and existence. Similarly, for गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण), there are गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण)-ness, existence, and oneness. Because there are three attributes, there is no such thing as "one." Similarly, for the Samkhya school, everything has the nature of three गुण (Tibetan: ཡོན་ཏན་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: guṇa, Chinese literal meaning: गुण)s, so there is no single thing, and therefore it cannot escape the already stated refutation. Furthermore, in order for the wise to be able to eliminate the views of all opponents, this method of refutation should be applied. To teach this, the teacher said: Existence and non-existence, and existence and non-existence, and the way of neither existence nor non-existence, the wise should always apply these to views such as oneness. Views such as oneness refer to oneness, otherness, both, and neither. The wise should apply the methods of refutation represented by existence and non-existence, etc., to the established views of oneness, etc., of the opponents, in the order in which they appear. Among them, the view that the effect already exists is that the cause and the effect are the same. In this way, if the effect exists in the nature of the cause, then the nature of the effect is completely transformed, that is, it does not exist, which is impossible to do. If it transforms, then everything will arise from everything. However, it is not seen that everything arises from everything, because we clearly see that yogurt, etc., can only arise from milk, etc. Therefore, according to the opponent's view, the cause and effect are considered to be the same, so the effect is produced as already existing, and this is the view of oneness. For the view of oneness, the refutation of the view that the effect already exists should always be stated through analysis.

Furthermore, if someone desires that the fruit exists, then decorations such as pillars for the sake of a house become meaningless. This is what is said. Similarly, whatever is produced should not be said to have existed before. If something that already exists were to be produced, then what has already been produced would also be produced again. If the Dharma exists even without being created, then precepts would be meaningless. Even if there is a slight creation, it is impossible for the fruit to exist. This is what is said. Therefore, the wise consider that those who assert the existence of the fruit should apply the refutation that is revealed by approximation to the side of oneness. Those who assert the non-existence of the fruit are those who assert that cause and fruit are different. They think that it is meaningless for something that exists to be produced, and that only the non-existent fruit is produced. For their side of otherness, one should also state the refutation that is revealed by approximation through the non-existence of the fruit. That is, if someone desires that the fruit does not exist, then decorations such as pillars for the sake of a house become meaningless. This is what is said. Those who think that the cause and the fruit are both the same and different are those who assert that the fruit both exists and does not exist. They think that Devas is produced as existing in the nature of life, and not existing in the nature of Devas. Similarly, they understand that bracelets and armlets, etc., exist in the nature of gold, and are produced not existing in the nature of bracelets and armlets, etc. For those who assert that the fruit both exists and does not exist on both sides of oneness and otherness, one should state the refutation that is revealed by approximation through refuting. That is, if someone desires that the fruit exists, etc., as mentioned above. Applying the faults of the two opponents to one side is the distinction. According to some, objects such as vases do not exist, and from their own causes, they cannot be said to be one or different. These objects are produced by causes that have substantial existence. For these people, one should state the refutation that is carried out through examination by negating the statements of existence and non-existence, that is, "neither exists nor does not exist." That is, if both statements are possible, then one should negate them to arrive at "neither is."
