Sa. The happiness born of desire is also a desire, because happiness itself is difficult to obtain. That is what it means. Or, because suffering itself is a factor, happiness should also be produced, and therefore it should also be abandoned. Then, how is it a factor of suffering? Like this: The body that has become happy becomes a vessel of suffering. The bodies of those who have happiness, which are places for experiencing happiness, are always nourished by enjoyment and become very tender, and even when touched by the slightest suffering, they wither like fresh leaves scorched by a burning flame. In all these situations, the protecting parents do not change. Therefore, excellent happiness is the cause of the increase of suffering. Because who is like this? Therefore, respect for the body and respect for the enemy, these two appear to be the same. There is no difference between the body and the enemy in causing suffering. Therefore, when relying on these two, they also become the same, because in accumulating the cause of suffering, both are the same, like sleeping on a chariot. For example, someone was comfortably asleep on a chariot in the midday autumn sun, and was seen by a king at will. Later, he pitifully found that when he was lying in bed, even the touch of a single mustard seed could not let him fall asleep. Similarly, the more the body is surrounded by objects of happiness, the more it becomes a vessel of suffering. Furthermore, because the body itself cannot become happy, it should be recognized as having the opposite nature. Like this: Even if the body is very dull, it will not become the master of happiness, and it is unreasonable to say that "nature will be overwhelmed by other things." Even if the body is nourished by the source of enjoyment of happiness, it will not become the master of happiness, because it is essentially suffering. Just as substances with a hard nature such as lead, bronze, gold, and silver melt when they come into contact with fire, but even then, because of their hard nature,

Just as something that is not mine, similarly, because it is the nature of suffering, the happiness of something that is not mine cannot serve as the master of the body for a long time. Therefore, the body is indeed the nature of suffering, like a cuckoo's chick. Just as a cuckoo's chick is raised by a crow, but it remains a cuckoo's and not a crow's, similarly, the body is not happiness. Here it transforms, saying: The body, which is the nature of ignorance, darkness, and suffering, how can it be the master of happiness? Never, even after a long time, will black iron turn into gold. If someone thinks that even if there is suffering, not feeling it is not without reason, it is not without basis. For example, some people appear to be constantly happy from birth to death, and even those most excellent beings who place their hopes on a great foundation do not feel it because they are distracted. Therefore, if someone thinks that the body is not the nature of suffering, then it should be refuted thus: The most excellent have mental suffering, while ordinary people have physical suffering. These two sufferings destroy this world day by day. Suffering is of two kinds: physical and mental. Those who are most excellent, enjoying great wealth, possessing noble birth, and having strong desires, because it is difficult for them to obtain the great foundation of obvious desires. Most of the time, jealousy leads to the inability to fulfill desires, thus giving rise to unavoidable mental suffering. Furthermore, those base beings, of low birth, with meager food, bedding, dwelling, and clothing, they are destroyed by physical suffering, so who would have the opportunity for happiness? Therefore, in this way, all these worlds are destroyed day by day by two sufferings. Therefore, there is nothing that is naturally happy here, just like seeing an elephant being punished, the ruler feels offended and becomes enraged, and is completely delighted. Some kings ordered someone to punish a difficult-to-tame elephant, and that person indeed tamed the elephant well. Then the king was very happy and had a portrait painted. That person's reward.
