It is just like that. Then what is it? It is the agent itself. Because the agent is considered a substance, the action of a third party (referring to an observer other than the agent) becomes meaningless. Saying this is unreasonable. If analyzed in this way, the eye will also lose its function of seeing. If the eye is looking at an object, does it look after reaching the object's location, or does it look without reaching it? Either way, there will be problems. To illustrate this, it is said: If the eye has the ability to move, it can see distant and long-lasting things. However, why can't very near and very far things be seen clearly? If the eye can perceive only by touching the object, then the eye reaches the object's location, and just opening (the eyes) will not be able to perceive things like the moon and stars. Because the time of movement is different, it is unreasonable to perceive nearby things by the function of movement and to perceive distant things at the same time. Just opening (the eyes), the eye can see distant things as if they were near, which is unreasonable. If the eye can perceive only by touching the object, then when it is very close, it will not be able to see the eye medicine or eye probe in the eye, but distant things can be seen clearly, which is impossible, so it is unreasonable. Also, if the eye moves to see things, then, does it arrive at that place after seeing it, or does it arrive without seeing it? What will happen then? Either way, there will be problems. So it is said: If the eye moves after seeing the object, then moving is of no use. Or the object that you want to see will surely become false. If you think that the eye reaches the object's location after seeing the object, then there is no need to move. The eye moves to see the object, if the object has already been seen here, then there is no need to move. If you move without seeing, then the object you want to see will definitely not be seen. Because you move in a place where you have not seen or recognized, like a blind person, the object you want to see will definitely not be seen. If you want to avoid this mistake, if the eye can perceive without moving, then all movements will be seen. Where is there any movement?

It is not so. For that, neither distance nor obscuration exists. If someone thinks that the scripture saying "eye, mind, and ear do not meet with objects" only refers to the eye not meeting with objects, then it should be said to them that, for the time being, this does not contradict the scripture, because it is dedicated to preventing only the grasping after meeting. In some cases, establishment is the main thing, that is, where it does not contradict. In other cases, negation is the main thing, that is, where it does not contradict. Therefore, it is possible to analyze this, and by merely preventing grasping after meeting, it is established as not meeting with objects. If one thinks that it is not meeting with objects through the means of establishment, then only the eye residing here would see all beings. Like this, for something that does not move, where would distance be? Therefore, it should be observed whether it can see nearby things without moving, and whether it can also see distant things. Therefore, it will not be different because it is considered distant. When one can see without moving, then, just like residing here, one can also see distant things, and similarly, one can also see obscured things. If one thinks that if there is movement, then because it is destroyed by being obscured, one cannot see the obscured things, it is reasonable. When it should be observed without moving, then for the obscured things, there is no obstacle to movement, so just like not being obscured, one can also see. Furthermore, if the eye becomes the nature of seeing, then at that time, because the nature does not disappear at any time, it will also see its own essence. Like this, in the world, The nature of all things, First appears to itself, The eye is held by the eye itself, By what does it not change? If, like the fragrance of champaka flowers, lotuses, and so on, first points to its own support, and then through contact with them, also points to sesame seeds and so on; and like the heat of fire residing in itself, through contact with it, points to the nature of other things, if the eye becomes the nature of seeing, then at that time, it will only see its own nature. Why would the eye not be held by the eye itself? The nature of things also first exists in its own nature, so the eye
