I shall subdue in a harmonious manner. Therefore, if someone strives for debate and desires to defeat the views of others, should this Dharma be shown to those who are worthy vessels? It should be said that this is not the case. Like this: The Tathagatas did not speak this Dharma for the sake of debate. If this Dharma were shown for the sake of debate, then it would become like that. But this Dharma is not shown for the sake of debate; it is shown as the very gate of liberation. Even if that is the case, it still burns the speech of others like fire burns firewood. Even though it is not shown for the sake of debate, this Dharma only eliminates the speech of others. Taking fire is for the purpose of activities such as cooking, not for the purpose of burning firewood. Even so, since it is in its nature to burn, it accomplishes the desired activity and also burns firewood. Just as fire, when the understanding that all dharmas are naturally without self arises in the minds of faithful beings, it should be understood in that way. For it is in its nature to burn all the bonds of afflictions. Furthermore, how does this Dharma burn the speech of others when it arises in the minds of faithful beings? It is said: Whoever knows this Dharma does not like other views. Because having tasted the nectar of the suchness of the sacred Dharma, it makes one lose interest in the enjoyment of other views, therefore he does not like all other views. The words spoken by the teacher, like tasting the flavor of the nectar of the sacred Dharma, satisfy the minds of intelligent beings. Therefore, to me, this Dharma appears like the gate of destruction. Because one does not arise again, one sees destruction. Therefore, for the continuum that understands the Dharma of no-self, this Dharma is considered the cause of destruction for all non-Dharmic views, so it appears to the teacher. Because it is of the nature of non-apprehension, it is not the cause of destruction for anything, therefore it is said to be like the gate of destruction. Or, considering the Dharma that is taught, it is said to be like the gate of destruction. From sorrow...

Falling away is the constant destruction, and the gate that follows it is the gate of liberation, the nature of realizing emptiness. The teaching also appears the same to the teacher. Just as one who has understood the nature of the noble Dharma, knows that they have faith and do not desire other views, so too, having understood the Dharma of the scriptures, they think that they do not like others. If even the noble ones are like this, why would this not become a source of fear? Because attachment to self has disappeared. For those who have attachment to self, they desire the view of things that are in accordance with self, but not the view of no-self that is not in accordance with it. In that very no-self, they think like this. Where do they abide? The noble ones. How could they be happy with existence? How could they be destroyed by non-existence? For those who do not fully understand the self-nature of internal and external things, they think that there is nothing that exists by its own nature. Those who abide in this thought, how could they be afraid of no-self because they see non-existence? For those who see existence as existing, how could they be completely satisfied? Therefore, they are said to be free from attachment and anger. Because there is no attachment to the view of existence, and there is no anger towards the view of no-self. Therefore, those who do not engage in the two and have no disputes can easily enter the city of Nirvana. Therefore, Nirvana is a sacred place, so no-self is not the source of fear of it. Those heretics who are strongly attached to the view of things, who perceive Nirvana as a cliff, they cut off the world from Nirvana and connect beings to the cause of endless suffering, the view of things, which becomes the seed of the endless suffering of beings. Therefore, seeing those who have become seeds of non-meaning, and many heretics, who would not have compassion for those who desire the Dharma? This world is full of the poisonous snakes of heretics, and the thickets of thorns of non-Dharmic views of existence and non-existence,
