Do. Whatever knows and completely ascertains the meaning of any object as it is, that is called the direct perception of that object, therefore, this statement is reasonable. Then, if the nature of the cessation of the continuum of aggregates has nothing, then to whom does that cessation become manifest? In the statement, "Birth is exhausted, the holy life has been lived, what had to be done has been done, there is no further existence," the so-called knowledge of the exhaustion of birth is also unreasonable. If some object has no birth, does that object become exhausted? Or does it not arise again? As long as the continuum of aggregates produced by the cause and condition of that object exists, then that object has birth, therefore it is not possible to understand that it has been exhausted. Quoting from the statement, "There is no further existence," if it is said that it is said because the future birth has not been seen, if that is indeed the case, then at that time, if the aggregates have not ceased, even if the afflictions are exhausted, it will not become nirvana. In the sutra, it is said that the cessation of aggregates is nirvana, that which is completely abandoned, completely relinquished, purified, exhausted, free from attachment, cessation, pacified, extinguished, not connected by other sufferings, and will not be born later, is peace, is excellence, for example: completely abandoning all aggregates, existence is exhausted, free from attachment, cessation, nirvana. In the sutra, the phrase "this suffering" refers to the suffering of the present, from complete abandonment to what is said between being able to do it. Regarding future suffering, the phrase "not connected by other sufferings" to "nirvana is exhausted" refers to the fact that it is no longer born in the present. The statement "There is no further existence" must be related to future suffering. Even in the present, if that aggregate is not negated, then that nirvana is not seen either. If one sees that the nature of suffering has no birth, then at that time, because birth is not seen, it will become the exhaustion of suffering, but others do not think so, therefore it will not become nirvana at that time.

will change. If the Blessed One spoke of two kinds of Nirvana, namely Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder, then his Nirvana with remainder is merely the aggregates. It is liberation from the bonds of affliction. Nirvana without remainder is characterized by the cessation of the continuum of aggregates, therefore, for Nirvana with remainder, even if one has abandoned the bonds of attachment and so forth, it is not considered Nirvana, if one thinks so, then, if that is the case, this Sutra called "Recollection" in the Sutra Pitaka: Shariputra entered Nirvana, having realized it directly, he declared it. How is this explained? That is definitely spoken in terms of directly realizing the absence of affliction, not in terms of being separated from the aggregates, if one says that, then, if that is indeed the case, then these such as "completely abandoned and relinquished all suffering" will not be spoken. If those afflictions are completely abandoned until they are extinguished, then such words will be spoken. Mentioning suffering clearly includes the five aggregates of grasping. Here, suffering and origin, and the world, etc., are considered synonyms for the five aggregates of grasping. Even if that is said, in general, it is possible to use a word to refer to one aspect. For example, even if one says that affliction itself is suffering, if there is no reason to connect it with anything, then that is the case, or when it is possible to see that the nature of the five aggregates of grasping is unborn, then it is not permissible to say that a general word refers to one aspect. If he does not abandon attachment to the aggregates and does not accept this reason, then even the nature of his afflictions being unborn will not become Nirvana. If at that time one does not consider the nature of the unborn suffering to be Nirvana, then at that time even if one has become free from afflictions by cutting off the bonds of attachment and so forth, but at that time, due to clinging to the cause of having a view of the perishable collection, and due to clinging to this, attachment and so forth arise, therefore, whatever liberation he obtains
