If it does not depend on clinging to samsara, it will not be like an illusion. Therefore, nirvana is also completely considered as conventional truth. If that is the case, how is nirvana said to be the ultimate truth? Because its nature does not deceive the world, it is said to be the ultimate truth by worldly terms. Whatever is deceptive and conditioned is not the ultimate truth. The three truths are the characteristics of conditioned phenomena, because they appear to be self-existent, so in order to deceive children, they are established as conventional truth. Then, what about what the Blessed One said, "O monks, thus, the non-deceptive dharma-nature nirvana is the only supreme truth"? Just as conditioned phenomena appear falsely and deceive children, nirvana is not like that, because it constantly abides in its own nature of non-arising, so it will never appear as the nature of arising like conditioned phenomena to children. Therefore, nirvana constantly abides in the nature of nirvana, so it is said to be the ultimate truth by worldly terms. Those who abide in seeing the ultimate truth do not observe samsara or nirvana, therefore it is established that "those who see the truth have no arrogance towards the world and nirvana." Why do those who abide in seeing the ultimate truth not observe samsara or the ultimate truth? Like this: Samsara and nirvana, These two are not existent. Samsara is the five aggregates of close grasping, and those are also arising in dependence on conditions, so like images, they are empty of self-nature. If those do not exist, then its object does not exist either, so it is said that these two are not existent. Seeing non-existence is not seeing reality, because those with cataracts and others would also see reality. The noble ones see reality, it is not appropriate to see the non-existent self-nature. If nirvana is something that does not exist, then what about the establishment that "the noble ones attain nirvana"? Samsara completely

Who knows? It is called Nirvana (myangan 'das). Thus it is said. That which is the very nature of existence, fully knowing in a way that does not fully know the unborn, that itself is the nature of the complete pacification of all characteristics, therefore, combined with conventional truth, it is called Nirvana, and it should be known that nothing is established in its own nature. Just as impermanence itself, the nature of the non-existence of things, is not established by nature, and it cannot be established by its own nature without relying on things, so too, the wise do not rely on things like illusions, and the so-called Nirvana cannot be fully examined for any self-established nature, therefore it is said: When the first born perishes, How to stop it, thus examine, Likewise, like an illusion maker, The wise should know as stopping. Thus it is said. How the impermanence itself of things that arise, is established by its destruction, therefore there is no self-establishment. If it were an existent, then its own nature could be seen without relying on things. Likewise, the noble ones also do not perceive any self-establishment called cessation. When examined with wisdom, like an elephant made by illusion, that which is without self-nature, not born of itself, that is Nirvana. That also, like an illusion maker, when Nirvana is established relying on that, impermanence itself is established by worldly terms. Therefore, samsara and Nirvana are known to be established without self-nature. Thus, if one fully knows the nature of things and does not perceive them, that itself is Nirvana, and it should be known without doubt. Likewise, By destruction one can stop, Not by knowing conditioned phenomena. To whom will that be manifest? What is meant by destruction? If, like an illusion maker, all dharmas are unborn at the time of non-perception, that is not Nirvana, but the characteristic of the nature of form etc., the nature of things, because the causes, conditions, karma and afflictions are not complete, that which is not born later, that seems like Nirvana.
