If it is not dependent arising, the world is also the essence of self-nature, and self-nature is also immutable, because attachment to the establishment of self-nature, the collection of changes will regress. Others think of it as other. Alas! Those will undoubtedly be robbed by views such as permanence and impermanence. In one's own sect, some admit the existence of the five aggregates and the self, but fall into substantial existence; some think that ignorance and action, etc., arise from the union of causes and conditions, but say that consciousness, etc., are substantially existent. In order to show that those are also similarly involved in wrong views, it is said: If one wants to truly establish things that are dependent, then how can the faults of permanence, etc., not arise? Just as admitting the existence and non-existence of the self-nature of self and dharma will become the fault of permanence and annihilation. If one eliminates the views mentioned above and understands the meaning of how dependent arising exists, then: Things that are dependent, like the moon in the water, are neither real nor false. Those who want to think this way will not be robbed by wrong views. If form, etc., do not exist by their own nature, then because they do not exist by their own nature, self-nature cannot become other, because self-nature does not exist, it is impossible to exist later. Even if there are causes and conditions, nothing can arise, and the causes and conditions are also of that nature, so it is impossible, therefore it will contradict dependent arising. However, if one wants to completely abandon that fault, if one admits that self-nature exists, then at that time, just as it arises like that, causes and conditions will not arise, because causes and conditions are also unnecessary, so they will not exist. Even so, it will contradict dependent arising. If it contradicts dependent arising, then all establishments will be destroyed. Just like the horns of a donkey, etc., going will not be observed either. Therefore, realms and going, birthplaces and types, etc.

I, beings with different castes, lineages, colors, shapes, strengths, intelligence, and faculties, and the external environment upon which all beings depend, such as the circle of wind, and gold, silver, cat's eye, crystal, ruby, etc., and water lilies, lotuses, trees, mountains, medicines, vases, vehicles, etc., all kinds of things that cannot be specified also become devoid of inherent existence. It is unreasonable to deny the existence of something that clearly exists. Therefore, one should abandon existence and non-existence in terms of inherent nature, which arises dependently. Since it is merely established by these conditions, one should acknowledge that it is without inherent existence, like a reflection. As Aryadeva said: 'For those who desire the existence of a result, and for those who desire the non-existence of a result, the purpose of pillars and other house-related things, and the meaning of decoration will also be absent.' Thus it is said. Thus, having abandoned permanence and annihilation, dependent arising is like a reflection, and it is not contradictory to being the object of distorted wisdom, so the various beings mentioned above are not impossible. The noble ones also abandon distorted views and do not falsely impute, so liberation is not impossible. Because dependent arising is like this, without inherent birth, therefore, having examined things with reason, those who regard things as dependent, like the moon in water, those who think that they are not established in their own nature, like reflections, are neither true in their own nature nor false. Thinking in this way relies on things that have become real, and dependent arising is not a real thing, like a reflection, therefore it is also not true. If it truly existed, it would be impossible to change. The world appears to be like reality, so it is not wrong either. Saying that it is not true is also for the purpose of indicating something and accomplishing a purpose. Because it is not true, therefore it is not permanent. Because it is not not true, therefore it is not annihilation or a wrong view. Thus, a reflection.
