Another consciousness that understands the state of being and non-being is impossible. Some say that it is unreasonable to say that the moment the cause ceases, it becomes the condition for the arising of the result. Therefore, since non-existence can also be a cause, it is unreasonable to say that non-existence cannot be a cause. If it is analyzed by reason, it is impossible to be a cause, but that is not the case. The things of the world should not be examined and accepted separately, but as the world is. In the world, there is also the case of calling non-existence a cause, for example, without water, the grain will not ripen. Without food, my child died. Like this, they say that without water and food, the grain and the child will not ripen. Since all worldly sayings are unreasonable, the things that are famous in the world should also be determined by the fame in the world, not by reason. The absence of water and so on is said to be the cause of destruction, therefore, the pacification by the exhaustion of the cause is manifested as exhaustion, and this is proven. Grasping the exhaustion of the cause itself, it is determined as exhaustion. That exhaustion does not exist in the state before the exhaustion of the cause, but exists after exhaustion, so it does not have a self-established nature. Those that are not exhausted by nature, do not depend on causes, but are exhausted by nature, should be determined by what other things' nature is exhausted. The dharma of the nature that is not exhausted is inconsistent with the nature of exhaustion, so it cannot be determined as the nature of exhaustion. Therefore, since this arising and ceasing are neither produced by one's own things nor by other things, therefore yogis see dependent arising as it is, and if analyzed by reason, then nothing arises, and nothing ceases. Second chapter. If both arising and destruction are impossible, then how can the Blessed One say, "Alas, formations are impermanent, they are of the nature of arising and destruction, having arisen they cease, their pacification is bliss"? If both arising and destruction do not exist, then the path of arising and destruction is Nirvana.

If there is a teaching of a secret instruction that does not change the place of going, then, the teaching therefore says that there are two, birth and death, although the Blessed One also said these words, but those two are not spoken in reliance on being established by their own nature. Even without that, because this world is interdependent arising, so it made a combination. The path of birth and death is taught for the purpose of need. Because it is necessary to accomplish the only need through declaring that, the Blessed One taught the path of birth and death. What is the need declared by the path of birth and death? In order to declare that, knowing birth knows death, knowing death knows impermanence, if knowing to enter impermanence, then by this also one can realize the Dharma. It is said like this. Because attachment to conditioned things obscures the path to the city of Nirvana, the Blessed One temporarily explained the path of birth and death as an antidote to that. How is it? Like this, knowing birth knows death, because birth is the root of death. Knowing death, the two words death and impermanence are understood as one meaning. If one lives in the midst of the raging fire of impermanence of the three realms, just like understanding that the house is raging, if one is not deceived, wanting to be liberated from it, then the Dharma nature of interdependent arising will definitely arise, if one understands non-birth and non-cessation, then by this one can understand the most profound Dharma called Nirvana. Therefore, in this way, those with excellent intelligence gradually follow birth and death, whoever is interdependent arising, abandoning birth and death, if they become knowers, those can cross the ocean of existence of views. Because there is no birth, there is no view of reality. Because there is no death, there is no view of annihilation. If there is no birth and death, because there is no own nature, the view of permanence will not arise. In this way, if one does not observe the birth and death of interdependent arising, then one has crossed the ocean of existence of views. The view itself is the ocean of existence. The river of views is the ocean of existence of views. Diligence in emptiness
