What is it? Here, all dharmas are empty of all dharmas. Whatever is unreal, such as form, is emptiness of its own nature. Furthermore, what is the own-nature of form and so on? It is explained to show it in detail: Form is characterized by change, feeling is characterized by experience, perception is characterized by grasping at signs, formation is characterized by manifest formation, and consciousness is characterized by distinguishing objects separately. Consciousness is its own nature. The aggregates are characterized by suffering, and the nature of the elements is like a poisonous snake. Through the door of conformity with the Dharma, the elements are said to be of the nature of poisonous snakes. The sense bases are said by the Buddha to be the doors of birth, because they are the doors through which suffering arises and is born. Whatever is dependent arising is of the nature of aggregation. Dependent arising is of the nature of aggregation, because dependent arising is distinguished by aggregation. Giving is the perfection of giving, ethics is the nature of non-harming, patience is the nature of non-anger, and diligence is the absence of fault. Diligence is the nature of fully embracing virtue. Meditation is of the nature of gathering, because it gathers all virtuous dharmas. Wisdom is the nature of non-attachment. Because it leads to nirvana, there is no attachment to anything. These are said to be the characteristics of the six perfections. The meditations and immeasurables, as well as other formless things, are said by the one who knows reality to be of the nature of non-disturbance. They are said by the Bhagavan to be of the nature of non-anger, because they are attained by abandoning anger. The thirty-seven factors of enlightenment are of the nature of definite emergence. Definite emergence is definite emergence, which means liberation. Because it is the cause of transcending samsara, it is capable of definite emergence, which means it is capable of definite emergence, and is of the nature of attaining liberation. Meditation and so on have already been explained. Empty.

Its characteristic is that it is solitary because it is without an object. Because it does not focus on things, it is not stained by the impurity of discrimination. Therefore, the gate of liberation, emptiness, is characterized by solitude. Signlessness is peace itself; the third characteristic is the absence of suffering and delusion. The gate of liberation, signlessness, is characterized by peace through the gate of not focusing on signs. The term "third" refers to the gate of liberation, which means wishlessness. This gate of liberation, wishlessness, is characterized by the absence of suffering and delusion. Because one truly contemplates the nature of suffering in conditioned things with wisdom, and when one contemplates the nature of conditioned things, one does not wish for them. Therefore, the third gate of liberation is characterized by the absence of suffering and delusion. The characteristics are liberated by the liberations. The eight liberations are as follows: "One who has form contemplates forms" is the first liberation. "Perceiving form internally, one contemplates external forms" is the second. The beautiful liberation, which is the nature of the fourth dhyana, is the third. The four formless ones are as described before. The cessation of perception and feeling is the eighth. These liberations liberate one from the obscurations of meditative absorption, and therefore are characterized by liberation. The powers are extremely well able to establish, and are said to be the nature of certainty. The ten powers that will be explained should be understood as having the characteristic of extremely well-established certainty. Because of this extremely well-established certainty, they are of the nature of unobstructedness, and therefore are called powers. The fearlessnesses of protection are of the nature of extreme steadfastness. There are four fearlessnesses, namely: "Having made the vow, 'I am perfectly awakened,' I do not see any cause or condition in the world, in accordance with the Dharma, for any renunciant, brahmin, god, demon, Brahma, or anyone else to argue with me, saying, 'Alas, he has not perfectly awakened to these dharmas.'" Thus it is explained extensively. Furthermore, "His outflows are exhausted."

If one makes such a vow, alas! Those defilements have not been exhausted, and whether I am a virtuous one, etc., will arise. If I cultivate those obstructive dharmas that I have spoken of, they will not turn into obstructive dharmas; there is no such place, as before. Furthermore, the noble path of definite liberation that I have spoken of, if one practices them, suffering will be completely extinguished, and definite liberation will occur. If one perseveres, suffering will be completely extinguished, and definite liberation will not occur; there is no such place, and so on, extensively explained. These are of extremely firm nature, because no one can cause them to change. Individual correct knowledges possess characteristics such as non-interruption. Individual correct knowledges are those who hold, and they are of the nature of non-interruption. Diligently approaching the benefit of beings is called great loving-kindness. Great loving-kindness is the nature of diligently approaching benefit. Protecting those who suffer is great compassion. Great compassion is the nature of completely protecting sentient beings who have become suffering. Joy is the nature of extreme joy, and great joy is the very nature of extreme joy. Equanimity is the nature of non-mixture, called great equanimity. Great equanimity is the nature of non-mixture because it is free from attachment and anger, etc. The Buddha's dharmas are unmixed, either ten or eighteen as desired. Why is it said that they are not taken away? Therefore, they are of the nature of non-taking. Here, the unmixed dharmas of the Buddha are eighteen. Thus, Subhuti! From the time when the Tathagata manifested complete and perfect enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, and until the time when he passes into complete nirvana without remainder, the Tathagata has no confusion, no noise, no forgetfulness, no non-absorption in samadhi. Likewise, various perceptions, and unexamined equanimity, and diminished desire, and diminished diligence, and diminished mindfulness, and diminished samadhi, and diminished wisdom.
