Transform! Or one should rebuke as is reasonable and appropriate. Therefore, this fault should be directed at those who claim the aggregates and consciousness as self. Since other faults that will be explained also fall only on this, it should be rebuked on both sides. From the teaching that "In the world, only one person is born at birth," I also do not want to assert that I am many. I become a real entity, that is, since only things like form and other real entities, and past and other different distinctions are called aggregates, and only they are designated as self, if I become real, then, monks, these five are only names, only designations, only imputations, that is, such as past time and future time, and space and nirvana, and the saying "person." Similarly, it is said: Just as relying on the collection of limbs, it is said to be a chariot, likewise, relying on the aggregates, it is conventionally said to be a sentient being. From this (teaching), it is also not what I desire. Therefore, since it will be inferred that I become a real entity, the aggregates are not me. Furthermore, since the view of the perishable collection is not an object of real entities, therefore, like the cognition of blue and yellow, etc., it will not become inverted. Therefore, the view of the perishable collection will not become the abandonment of all arising, or like the eye consciousness that only focuses on blue and yellow, etc., it will only be abandoned by abandoning the seventh kind of desire that focuses on it. Furthermore, at the time of nirvana, the self will definitely be cut off. In the moment before nirvana, there is no creator of arising and ceasing, so there is no result. Others accumulate karma, and others enjoy it. If I have the nature of the aggregates, then at the time of nirvana, all five aggregates will also cease their continuum, so I will be cut off. Therefore, since holding onto the extreme of annihilation, it will be inferred to be a nihilistic view, because you, with the view of the perishable collection that has the aspect of self and what belongs to self, what is grasped as self is established as a nihilistic view because of holding onto permanence and annihilation. Therefore, I should not admit that the continuum will also be interrupted at the time of nirvana.

Therefore, it would lead to holding onto extreme views. Therefore, I am not of the nature of the aggregates. Just as the aggregates arise and cease moment by moment in the moments before entering nirvana, so too will I arise and cease, because I am of the nature of the aggregates. Therefore, just as the statement "How did this body of mine come to be?" is not valid, so too at that time, at that moment, the statement "I, the king, came to be called Nu" will not be uttered, because at that time I too will perish like the body, and because here the arising of another self has been promised. The scriptures also say: "The aggregates are not the self, they are subject to arising and ceasing. How can the aggregates be the agent?" And similarly: "If the aggregates were the self, they would be subject to arising and ceasing." Thus it is said. Even if there is arising and ceasing, since there is no agent self, its result will be non-existent. If whatever action is done becomes impermanent, then since there is no agent, the action also has no basis, and therefore the actions will have no connection with the result. If the result of the action done by the previous moment is enjoyed in the subsequent moments, then since the ripening of the action accumulated by another is enjoyed by another, the action accumulated by another will be consumed by another. Therefore, the consequences will be that what has been done is wasted and what has not been done is encountered. The scriptures also say: "If this is other, it will also arise without cause. Similarly, the place will change, and one will be born where one has not died. Severance and actions will be wasted, and the actions done by others will be experienced separately by others, and so forth." Thus it is said. Therefore, it is not reasonable to say that the aggregates are the self. Here it is said: Even if the previous and subsequent moments are other, even so, since this continuum is one, we do not have this fault. It should be said: If the continuum exists, there is no fault. When examining the previous ones, the continuum has...
