Furthermore, in order to produce results, this world gathers seeds and so on in hundreds and thousands of ways. If this does not change, then arising is not from self-nature. Moreover, if beings were empty of causes, then just like the scent and color of a উৎপལ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, utpala, Romanized Sanskrit, utpala, blue lotus) in the sky, it would be impossible to grasp. Therefore, know that according to your own wisdom, the world arises from causes. If beings were empty of causes, then just like the scent and color of a উৎপལ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari, utpala, Romanized Sanskrit, utpala, blue lotus) in the sky, it would not become a path to be grasped, but it would also change. Therefore, according to your own wisdom, know that all beings arise only from causes. According to your view, the mind with a blue appearance does not arise from the blue appearing and drawing near. Because the mind with a blue appearance comes only from the blue and not from self-nature, it is unreasonable to speak of self-nature. Minds arise from the elements, and it is impossible to deny the cause as the object, because it is visible and because it would fall into the faults mentioned above. The entities of cause and effect are known to exist in this world. They are only four: earth, water, fire, and wind, which are the causes of all kinds of beings. Moreover, it is not only reasonable that we see the variety of lotuses, cotton, apples, and so on, and the flocks of peacocks and geese, arising from the distinct perfections of these elements, but also that the mind, which completely cuts off the variety of the true nature of things, arises from them. For example, just as from the particular mixture arising from alcohol, due to the peculiarity of complete transformation, arises the ability to intoxicate, which is the cause of intoxication and fainting in living beings, so too, from the complete maturation of the particularities of the great elements such as slime, minds arise, and they change even to the point of completely cutting off all things. Therefore, external and internal things arise only from the causes of this world, and not from the ripening of actions done anywhere.

Ara la. I think that the other worlds where the maturation of actions done here arise, those other worlds do not exist. Beautiful woman, enjoy and eat well! Once this wonderful body of yours passes away, it will not return. This body is merely an aggregation, and once gone, it cannot be reversed. Thus he spoke. This was because he wanted to approach that girl and wanted her to realize that there is no other world. To this, it should be said: From where does this certainty of yours that there is no other world come? Is it because it is not directly perceived? If you say it is because your other world is not directly perceived, then is your other world directly perceived or not directly perceived? If you say it is directly perceived, then the other world becoming directly perceived does not exist, and because of direct perception, non-things also become directly perceived. Therefore, non-things also become things for you, because they are directly perceived, just like things. Therefore, since there is nothing called non-things, and since there is no companion, things also become non-existent. If neither things nor non-things exist, then the existence of the elements and the non-existence of the other world will both disappear. If it is not directly perceived, then since that non-directly perceived itself is not directly perceived, it is not apprehended. How can one infer the non-existence of the other world through that which is not apprehended? If it is apprehended through inference, then if even that which is fully established through inference can establish meaning, then this is: As far as the senses reach, a person is limited to that extent only. Noble woman, whatever you hear, whatever you say, that is like the tracks of a jackal. This is also what you have admitted. Therefore, when one engages in slandering everything here, one should follow the path of refuting those who believe that consciousness arises from the elements, which has already been explained, and thus state refutations in all aspects. Furthermore, just as someone with cataracts perceives non-existent entities such as a double moon as existing, seeing unreal objects such as hairs, flies, and so on, other similar forms also cause discomfort.
