It is impossible. When it is the time of ability, because it is the fifth "from ability," at that time, the arising of consciousness cannot arise from ability, because "existence" has already been said before. Thus, for the time being, it is impossible for the born to have ability. For the consciousness of unborn nature, there is also no ability, because why? Without distinction, there should be no distinguished one. The son of a barren woman should also have this fault. Without distinction, it is impossible to have distinction. How is it said? The ability of consciousness, consciousness is the distinction of ability, and ability is the basis of distinction. The unborn cannot be shown by the nature of negation and affirmation as whether it is consciousness or not consciousness. When it is like that, how can one distinguish whose ability it is by saying "this is its ability"? When there is no such distinction, not saying "this arises from this" will not show anything at all. Furthermore, if one asserts that the unborn has ability, then one should also assert that the son of a barren woman has ability, therefore the unborn does not have ability. If one thinks that a certain consciousness will arise from ability, and that the consciousness that will arise, thinking in the heart that "the ability of this consciousness is this, and this arises from this," then the distinction and the basis of distinction will be established. Just as it is said in the world, "cook a pot of rice," "put a cloth strip on this nose." It is also said in the scriptures: "There are three kinds of entering the womb, the wheel-turning king and the self-born two." If you think like that, this is also said because it is said to be meaningless. If you want to argue with what will arise, then something without ability will not arise. Occasionally it will turn into something, then it will arise, but it is not always arising, it is certain that the son of a barren woman and so on, or the sky and so on, will not change. Therefore, here, if there is ability, then consciousness will definitely arise, when consciousness has not yet arisen, because it does not exist at all, so
