Oṃ. When worldly people abide in their own views, they become very powerful and also believe that everything arises from others alone. Improperly applying reasoning is only appropriate for things that are not directly perceived, and not for things that are directly perceived. Therefore, even without reason, things can only arise from others. If someone does not correctly understand the meaning of the scriptures, and the accumulation of the imprints of things in beginningless samsara has fully matured, and they cannot bear to hear of separation from the friend of attachment to things, and rely on worldly means of harm, then, without explaining that the ways in which the world arises are very numerous and vast, it is impossible to be liberated from the harm of the world. In order to explain the special object of worldly harm, I will explain it by temporarily adopting the manner of establishing the two truths: "By seeing all things as true and false, one obtains and grasps two natures of things. Whatever is the object of true seeing, that itself is the ultimate truth. Whatever is seen falsely is conventional, the conventional truth is spoken thus." Here, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who know the self-nature of the two truths without error, have closely shown the two self-natures of all internal and external things, such as actions and sprouts, namely, the conventional and the ultimate. Of these, the ultimate is the very object of the special wisdom of those who see correctly, and it is by this that the self-nature is found, but it is not established by its own self; this is one nature. The other is that the eyes of the mind of individual ordinary beings are completely covered by the dimness of ignorance, and it is from the power of false seeing that existence is found, but it is not established by its own nature in the same way that it appears to the sight of children. Therefore, all things possess these two natures. Of these two natures, whatever is the object of correct seeing, that is the very thing; that is the meaning of the ultimate truth. Its own nature will be explained. Whatever is the object of false seeing, that is the conventional truth.

Napa oh. Therefore, having thus established the two truths, in order to show that for false perceptions, there are both true perceptions and falsity itself, by which the meaning to be grasped, and the duality of knowledge, is explained: False perceptions are also accepted as two types: clear sense faculties and impaired sense faculties. The knowledge of those with impaired senses is considered to be inverted relative to the knowledge of those with good senses. Among them, those with clear sense faculties are those who are free from cataracts and have not been impaired by jaundice, etc., and who apprehend external objects in such a way that they are not inverted. Those with impaired sense faculties are the opposite of these. Among them, relative to the knowledge of those with good sense faculties, the knowledge of those with impaired sense faculties, whatever that is, is considered to be inverted. Just as the knowledge of these is twofold in terms of being inverted and not inverted, so too are the objects. To show this, it is explained: Whatever is apprehended by the six senses without impairment is understood by the world. From the world itself, it is true, and the rest is established as inverted from the world itself. Among them, cataracts and jaundice, etc., and eating henbane, etc., are causes of impairment of the senses that exist internally. Sesame oil and water, mirrors and sounds from caves, etc., and sunlight, proximity to special places and times, etc., are causes of impairment of the senses that exist externally. Those who do not have internal impairments of the senses will become the cause of perceiving images, echoes in valleys, and mirages as water, etc. Similarly, spells and medicines, etc., that are strongly combined for those with blurred vision, etc., should also be understood. The causes of mental harm are those, and schools of thought, etc., that are made by what is not true, and the appearance of inference, self, and the establishment of dreams, etc., will be explained. Therefore, in this way, the world does not have the causes of impairment of the senses as previously stated, and the meaning to be grasped by all six senses is understood.

That is true from the world itself, but not dependent on the noble ones. When images and the like are harmful to the senses, and appear as the nature of the object, that is false from the world itself. Now, in order to briefly show the meaning that has been said in the manner of an example, it is said: The non-Buddhists who are disturbed by the sleep of ignorance, truly examining their own nature, and examining illusions, mirages, etc., those are not even existent from the world. These non-Buddhists, because they want to enter into that true nature, for immature beings, even cowherds and women, etc., the things that are known, such as birth and death, etc., without truly and correctly grasping them, wanting to be outstanding, just like a person climbing a tree who lets go of the previous branch but does not grasp the next branch, they will fall with a great fall into the cliffs of the mountain of evil views, and will not be able to obtain the fruit of being separated from the view of the two truths. Therefore, whatever these people observe, such as the three qualities, etc., those are not even existent in the conventional truth of the world. Therefore, here it says: How can the object of the eye with cataracts harm the wisdom without cataracts? Similarly, the mind that has abandoned stainless wisdom does not harm the stainless mind. What is said to refute arising from others is not merely based on the view of worldly people, but what is it? It is acknowledging the views of the noble ones. When the refutation of arising is special, just as when people with cataracts focus on the nature of sounds, etc., it does not harm the knowledge without cataracts, similarly, the minds of ordinary people who are separated from uncontaminated wisdom do not harm the uncontaminated view, so that kind of object is not harmed by the world. Therefore, in that way, the opponent becomes worthy of being laughed at by the noble ones. Therefore, this explains that there are two truths, and explains that things have two natures with the difference between conventional and ultimate. Among them, the conventional truth of the world is revealed.
