For this very reason, the sprout should not destroy it either, but should think of it as its own nature. Furthermore, the function of the seed as the cause of production is different, as are the shape, color, taste, potency, and ripening of the sprout, which you will not have. Among them, shape is like long and round, etc. Color is like yellow, etc. Taste is like sweet, etc. Potency is the difference of power, the distinction of potency and power, for example, a medicine for hemorrhoids that eliminates hemorrhoids just by being close to the body, and herbs, etc., that can walk in the sky just by holding them. Complete ripening is to be obtained by the complete transformation of the difference of substances, for example, long pepper, etc., will become sweet. If the seed and the sprout are not other, then just as the seed itself has it, the sprout should also appear without distinction in shape, etc., but since it does not appear, therefore, just as sprouts such as aquatic plants grow from seeds such as garlic, it should not be other. If you think that the seed itself becomes a sprout by abandoning the state of the seed and obtaining another state, even so, if you abandon the object of the previous self and become other than that, if the essence transforms, then how can it be itself at that time? Its thing is itself, which means that it is not other. From this speculation, it is impossible for the sprout to be not other, so it is thought that this is not other. If you think that the seed and the sprout are different in shape, etc., but the substance is not different, that is not correct, because if you do not cling to shape, etc., you will not cling to their substance. Furthermore, if your seed and sprout are not other here, is that which is called a sprout ungraspable like a seed? Or because they are one, how can that also be graspable like this sprout? Therefore, this is not admitted. Just as the state of the sprout, the self-nature of the seed cannot be grasped by its own entity, so because it is not other than the seed, the self-nature of the sprout will not be graspable like the self-nature of the seed.
