Yes. Then what is it? Whatever is the mind of benefiting others and loving-kindness, that is also Dharma. It should be understood that the word "self" is not explicitly used and shown here in the term "benefiting others and loving-kindness." Among them, because it helps others, it is the mind of benefiting others, and whatever mind participates in the four ways of gathering disciples, and participates in saving from fear, etc., that is also Dharma. The mind that arises from relatives and friends and does not contradict sentient beings is the mind of loving-kindness. Or, loving-kindness is the relatives and friends themselves, and whatever mind is beneficial to oneself, that is the mind of loving-kindness. Whatever shows the three types of mind, that is called Dharma, and conversely, it should be understood as not Dharma. In this way, whatever mind shows detailed distinctions, that is the seed of the fruits. Whatever is the unique cause for the accomplishment of the fruit, that is called the seed, just as the seed of rice is the cause of the rice seedling. Whatever is common, such as land, is not the seed, it is only the cause. Just as that is how it is, similarly, here, for the manifestation of the desired ripening, the three minds are the seed, and the actions of the individual, etc., are only the cause. Also, when does the seed become the cause of the accomplishment of the fruit? Here it is said "in other places it is the fruit," the so-called "here" refers to the visible birth, and "in other places" refers to the invisible birth, this is a summary word. These should also be understood from the scriptures through reasoning. In this way, having temporarily established one Dharma of the nature of mind, then the Bhagavan said: The deeds of the great sage are, mind and near-thinking are of two kinds. Because he understood the ultimate meaning, he is a sage. He is both a sage and supreme, therefore he is a great sage. Because he understood the ultimate meaning in all aspects, and also surpassed the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, therefore he is the great sage, that is, the Buddha Bhagavan. That great sage said in the sutra: The deed of mind and the thought

It is said that this is karma. The distinctions of those karmas, of which two types have been spoken, are fully proclaimed in various ways. How so? Among them, the karma that is said to be 'mind' is considered to be the karma of the mind. What is said to be 'thought' is considered to be the karma of body and speech. What exists in the mind is the karma of the mind, because it is ultimately accomplished through the gateway of the mind, and because it does not depend on the involvement of body and speech, only the mind that corresponds to the consciousness of the mind is called the karma of the mind. The word 'that' therein is specific. The second karma that is said to be 'thought' should be understood as the karma of body and speech, and should be involved in this way through body and speech. Whatever is done after thinking in this way is called the karma of thought. Moreover, it is also of two types, because it exists in body and speech, and because it is ultimately accomplished through them, it is the karma of body and the karma of speech. Thus, there are body, speech, and mind, becoming three types. These three types of karma, if further divided, will become seven types. Thus, the Bhagavan has made many declarations about the distinctions of karma. How so? Speech and movement, and non-abandoning, non-revealing form, abandoning non-revealing form, others are also considered the same. Merit arising from enjoyment, and the way of non-merit, those four, mind and dharma, these seven, are considered manifest karma. Among them, speech is the clear utterance of words. Movement is the movement of the body. Among them, by speech, all that arises from the nature of abandoning and non-abandoning non-revealing form, both virtuous and non-virtuous, is generally included. Similarly, all that arises from the nature of abandoning and non-abandoning non-revealing form of movement, both virtuous and non-virtuous, is also generally included. Just as the classification of revealing form becomes two types, so too does non-revealing form, namely, non-revealing form of the nature of non-abandoning, and non-revealing form of the nature of abandoning.

Because the distinction has already been made. Among them, the non-revealing form of the nature of non-abandonment is like this: From now on, I will kill sentient beings and live by stealing. From the time of committing sinful deeds like this, even if you don't do these, the non-revealing form with the cause of committing non-virtuous deeds will always arise constantly. Also, from the beginning of engaging in slaughtering, even if you don't do it, the non-revealing forms of fishermen and others will arise. These are called the nature of non-abandonment. Just as these exist, similarly, the non-revealing forms of the nature of abandonment, that is, those of the nature of virtue, are also like this. For example, from now on, I will abandon killing and so on. From the time when the revealing forms of body and speech are completely perfected like this, even later in situations such as intoxication, the non-revealing forms of accumulating the nature of virtue will arise. These are called the non-revealing forms of the nature of abandonment. Even if it is the nature of form and action, it is a non-revealing form because it does not make others know it like a revealing form. Similarly, merit arising from enjoyment is the meaning of what is called virtue. Because it has this arising from enjoyment, it is arising from enjoyment. Enjoyment is the things that have been given away, enjoyed by the Sangha and others. Arising is arising after, meaning that in the continuum of the giver, the increase of virtue will arise. The way of non-merit is also the same, it is the meaning of arising from enjoyment. For example, where temples and so on are built to kill sentient beings, just as sentient beings are killed in that temple, so too, in that temple and so on, from the continuum of the actors, non-merit arising from enjoyment will arise. In this way, non-merit will also arise in the same way. It is the nature of the karma of mind, it is mind manifest.
