It is the view, attachment and clinging, or the objects of attachment and clinging, there is no encounter. These three together at the same time also do not encounter. How these exist, just like this, afflictions, the remaining ones and the sources of birth, the remaining ones are also in three ways. That is, there is no situation of encountering each other. The three ways are the three categories. The things of the three ways are the three categories themselves, the three categories themselves are certain. The remaining afflictions are hatred and ignorance and so on. They exist in three ways: hatred and the hater, and what should be abandoned, and so on. The listener, the listener and what is to be heard, and so on, also exist in three ways. Also, why is it that these do not encounter? If they encounter and transform each other, because what is seen, etc., that other does not exist, therefore they will not encounter. It is said, because this word means because of what. If what is to be seen, etc., have otherness between each other, then at that time, like water and milk, there would be a situation of encountering each other, because what is to be seen, etc., does not have that other, therefore, they will not encounter. Furthermore, what is seen, etc., only, not only is there no otherness, anything with anything, to become other is also unreasonable. What is to be seen, etc., the things that are in the cause and effect, not only is there no otherness, but also for all things such as bottles and cloths, there is none, it should be determined. In order to explain how what is to be seen, etc., these do not have otherness between each other, it is said: the other depends on the other to become the other, without the other, the other will not become the other. Depending on what to become what, it is unreasonable to become other from that. Here, the thing called bottle, saying that it is other than the cloth, that other, depends on the other to become the other, without the other, that is, without the other having, it will not become the other. The thing called bottle, depending on the other called cloth to become the other, the thing called bottle, from the thing called cloth, it is unreasonable to become the other.

It should be determined that things do not become something other than themselves. Because what depends on something to become something, it does not become different from that thing. Because there is dependence, like seeds and sprouts, or long and short. As it is said: What arises depending on something, is temporarily not that itself, nor is it different from it, therefore, it is neither permanent nor discontinuous. This is complete. Here it is said: If cloth is different from a vase, and the vase becomes different by depending on the cloth that has become different, then what fault would there be? It should be said: If the other is different from the other, then without the other, the other changes. Without the other, the other changes, it is non-existent, therefore it does not exist. Here, one of the words "other" is to be indicated, one holds the meaning of other, and another is a well-known statement, so three words of "other" are juxtaposed. If the thing called a vase becomes different from the other cloth, then the thing called a vase will also become other without the other cloth, then the vase alone, without depending on the cloth, becomes the other itself. Thus, what is different from something can also be established without that thing, just as the vase itself is established as its own nature without depending on the cloth. Similarly, if the otherness of the vase comes from the other cloth, then the vase that does not depend on the cloth will also have otherness, then the otherness will not be seen on the vase alone that does not depend on the cloth. Therefore, when it is said that "it becomes other depending on the other," it is clearly admitted that what depends on something to become other is not different from that thing. Here it is said: If the otherness that does not come from something does not exist on something, then why is it said that the other depends on the other to become the other, therefore it will not become the other, is this itself impossible to say? It should be said: Because the establishment of the otherness of things is not mutually dependent, precisely because of this, abiding in worldly terms, it is said "other."
