Therefore, it is certain that it is not self-existent. However, if one seeks a perverted self-nature and the establishment of suffering and so on that arise dependently on the conventional, then, at that time, by analyzing the actions and the agent in the manner described in the treatise, one should eliminate the four views mentioned above and acknowledge that dependent origination is established only in the sense of this condition. As it is said: Suffering is done by me, done by others, and done by both. The nihilists assert that it is without cause. You say that it arises dependently. Thus it is said. The Blessed One also said: The Victorious Ones teach the Dharma in the conventional, and one should view conditioned and unconditioned phenomena in that way. In reality, there is self and no-self, and the nature of all beings is like this. Virtuous and evil actions do not perish, and I who have done them will experience them. The fruits of actions do not transfer, but they are not experienced without cause either. All conditioned existence is like an illusion, without freedom, like a bubble that accumulates and dissipates. Like an illusion, like a mirage, it is always empty, and although it is spoken of with sound, it is solitary. In caves, mountains, and valleys, just as an echo arises from conditions, likewise, understand all these conditioned phenomena, all beings are like illusions and mirages. And so on. From the Clear Words by the master Chandrakirti, the commentary on the twelfth chapter called "Analysis of Self-Made and Other-Made." Because in this way, after analyzing with the style of a treatise, for phenomena, self, other, and both-made, and arising without cause do not exist, and there is no other way of arising. Because the darkness of ignorance has dimmed the eye of wisdom, these things also appear as the nature of arising, therefore, when they become without self-nature, like illusory horses and elephants, they deceive children like those who do not understand them. Therefore, possessing the unobstructed nature of the gift of wisdom, all dharmas, without

The Chapter on Origination. In order to fully protect those who have become inverted by the four inversions and have no protector, [the Buddha] diligently shows the non-invertedness of no self-nature. What Dharma did the Bhagavan Buddha, the master of great compassion, speak? Deception is said to be falsehood. All conditioned things are of the nature of deception. Therefore, they are false. In the Sutra, it says: "Monks, whatever conditioned things are of the nature of deception are false, and whatever Nirvana is of the nature of non-deception is the ultimate truth." Similarly, it is said: "This is of the nature of deception. This is of the nature of destruction." Therefore, in this way, whatever is of the nature of arising and destruction is false. Thus, the Bhagavan Tathagata spoke. All conditioned things are also of the nature of deception, therefore, these conditioned things are of the nature of deception, so they are false. Among them, the nature of deception is to delude and appear as inverted, like a fire wheel. Because of its very nature of not being, all conditioned things are false, because they are of the nature of deception, like water in a mirage. Whatever is true is not of the nature of deception, like Nirvana. Therefore, from the reasoning and scriptures of the teachings, things are established as having no self-nature. In the Prajnaparamita, it says that all Dharmas are emptiness, in the way of having no self-nature. Here it is said: If, in that way, by the very nature of deception, all conditioned things are shown to be false, then all things do not exist, therefore, for all things, it will become the false view of slander. It should be said: Whatever deceptive Dharmas that still deceive you now, this is true. If what is the nature of deception? That is false, what does it deceive? Is it not? When we say what is the deceiver, that is false, what does it deceive? What will become non-existent? If something exists, then slandering it is the view of non-existence.
