Therefore, because there is birth, there is abiding, therefore abiding becomes something that has birth. Therefore, birth also exists, because if it exists, there is the dharma of existence. Here, if something does not exist, and it exists, then it is not possible to have the dharma of existence, like the fragrance of a sky flower. It should be said that if it exists, if existence itself exists, then birth will also exist, and if so, existence is not possible, as follows: A thing that abides does not abide, a thing that does not abide is abiding. That which is abiding also does not abide, how can that which is unborn abide? To that, abiding is non-abiding, because the act of abiding has ceased. A thing that does not abide is also not abiding, because it is separated from abiding. That which is abiding also does not abide, because it would become two abidings, and because there is no abiding that is different from abiding and non-abiding. Furthermore, how can that which is unborn abide? Here, because birth is prevented, how can that which abides, that unborn thing, exist? Therefore, abiding is non-existent in every way. Furthermore, will this abiding become something that is decaying or not decaying? In either case, it is not reasonable, and to show this, it is said: For a thing that is decaying, abiding is not reasonable. What is not decaying, that is not reasonable for a thing. For the time being, for a thing that is decaying, the appearance tends towards decay, then the contradictory abiding does not exist. If something is not decaying, then it itself will not become a thing, then how can abiding exist for it? Furthermore, all things are aging and dying, not letting go for even a moment, and when this is the case, for things, there is no opportunity at all for abiding, which is contrary to aging and dying, to enter, and to show this, it is said: All things at all times are the dharma of aging and dying, what does not have aging and dying, what abiding thing is there? For what is there abiding, what thing is there that is free from aging and dying? Therefore, abiding is non-existent, that is what is thought. Furthermore, this abiding abides for the sake of abiding

Or do you contemplate in this way? If you say that it itself causes its own nature to abide, then both of these are not reasonable. Thus it is declared. Abiding, abiding with another, that also should not abide. Just as birth, like self and other, is not produced by them. Since this birth is unborn, how does it produce its own nature? Thus, etc., it is said that just as birth does not produce its own nature, so abiding should also not cause its own nature to abide. How should it be said? This abiding does not abide, so how does it abide in its own nature? If abiding causes abiding, what is there to abide in abiding? Thus it should be combined. Furthermore, if birth is caused by another birth, that birth would become endless. Thus, just as various distinctions are made regarding birth, so too, if abiding is caused by another abiding, that abiding would become endless. Thus, it should also be declared regarding abiding. Thus, abiding is also unreasonable. Therefore, the Bhagavan said: These dharmas do not abide, these have no place of abiding, the speech of non-abiding abiding is not found in its own nature. The protector of the world has not shown abiding and the arising of phenomena, therefore, such a protector of the world, should be known to enter samadhi through reason. Thus it is said. Similarly, the Noble Collection of Verses also says: The wind relies on space, the aggregates of water rely on the wind, that relies on this great earth, this relies on sentient beings. Thus, even up to, non-abiding is abiding, the Victorious One thus said. Thus it is extensively spoken. Here it is said: Birth and abiding are truly existent, because there is a dharma that acts together with them. Here, conditioned phenomena, etc., have the characteristics of birth and abiding, and because there is impermanence that acts together, therefore birth and abiding are also existent. It should be said, if there is impermanence, should birth and abiding also be existent? It is not existent. How is it? Thus, cessation does not become cessation, non-cessation also does not become cessation, what is being destroyed is also not like that, how does the unborn become cessation? If there is a small part called impermanence, is that thing already destroyed? Not destroyed? Destroying?
